Easy enough to turn them off, yes. As a new user, I thought signs would let me learn my way around. It is a small number of people that have huge sigs. Unlike other forums, this software does not (AFAIK) allow me to block them by user.

Only against Youtube for putting 2 ads before every video, another every 1.1 minutes, and an unlimited number at the end unless you click out.

For the most part, your gripe is with the content creators as they can limit the number of ads. What you are experiencing is uploaders over-monetizing their videos.
