I went 3 years with out one. The only reason I have one now is to play xbox and I don't hardly do that any more ( I go on abinge like for a month then won't play for six or seven)

The problem with this survey is that most people look at two weeks (the either/or period in question) as a very short-term period. Most of us do without sex for a couple weeks at a time at least occasionally, but we'd be hard pressed to do business or even conduct our personal lives with email, online banking, online purchasing, and so forth.

Same here. Without the internet I'm on a soapbox selling pencils and really, really shiny apples.

And despite all appearances, I could live without a big honkin' tee and vee quite easily. But I do like a larger screen so that I can read the captions for the stories in Keith Olbermann's reports from more than three feet away from the tube.
