Interracial story - what to write?

I get some strong positive scores and feedback in LW ( my 'base' category), but also a steady stream of bitter comments.

i have a decent score for my first submission to LW, but subsequently made the huge error of including a weak, cuckold husband in my next one. BOOM!!!

I have had a similar experience, but it leads me to like the "Loving" adjective..."loving" suggesting a shared celebration of the wife's adventures. Those stories tend to do well for me ( with always a few moralist feedbacks, or cries for help). When I make a true 'cheating ' wife, they do less well.

I've been very disappointed with the range of stories in the Interracial section. They all seem to be black on white, or white on black, and a majority of them tend to be about a dom/sub couplings. It would be nice to see the racial divide bridged without resorting to rape or one party gradually overcoming their misconceptions about black/white people.

Also, I've never seen a story which involved Middle Eastern Asians before, only Eastern Asians (Japanese, Chinese, etc). I think that would be an interesting area to cover in a story, with the headscarf issue and cultural taboos.

I only have one story in the "Loving Wives" category, but I received very good feedback from it. It was entered in a Halloween contest and I was amazed at the positive feedback I received. The story is called "Halloween Masquerade" and you can find it in my profile. Maybe I got such nice feedback as it was about a couple who both consented and enjoyed the wife having sex with a third party.

Now, as for Middle Eastern Asian relationships. Hm, that would be quite interesting. I think I've seen a couple of stories, but not many. I'd be interested in seeing something like that here.

This category? I don't know. I've never read an interracial story at Lit. But, quite honestly, I personally enjoy the color contrast. I am a very pale white woman. I've had lovers of various backgrounds, but have gotten a little something "extra" from the visual of being with a dark skinned black man.

I have never gone looking for an interracial story. For me, I don't see any differences. My husband is black and I am white (going on 76 days of marriage woohoo!!) I am not with him because he is black, I am with him because of who he is.

Although...I have to say, I do love the look of his black hands on my white breasts...mmmm

Those are the kind of IR stories that are badly underrepresented at Lit. If you ever do write an IR story, you ought to post a link to it here. I don't think I'm alone in believing that IR stories about people are much more erotic than IR stories about walking sterotypes trying to pass themselves off as real people.

White Aussie male here and I'm really enjoying this thread. It's giving me a good insight into the relationship between blacks and whites in the US. From reading the IR stories I can tell there still seems to be a lot of animosity there, and like many others have already said on this thread, the story lines seem to be mainly based around power and dominance.

Ultimately though, I don't really find these black/white stories exciting. Both characters in most of these stories are from the same country (US). Both speak the same language, and have the same Western culture. Rarely are religous or other cultural barriers written about. Instead, skin colour and occassionally class seems to be the only factor seperating the two characters.

So why don't cultural barriers get addressed? I think that would give interacial a whole new depth. I read the stories here for sexual pleasure, and I'm not ashamed of that. But for me, the sex acts in these stories are not the main appeal. It's the circumstances that bring the characters together, and the environment (both physical and social) that is most arousing. The more incredible the circumstance, the hotter the story. What more interesting circumstance could there be than two people or are culturally worlds apart somehow overcoming these barriers to root?

Not to turn this into a history lesson but I am Black American and studied slavery quite a bit in college. This idea is not farfetched at all. Black men were frequently traded amongst slave owners to "breed" with the other black women to create more slaves. If a black man was particularly strong and large he could pass up working altogether and live as a stud. This is similar to the lighter skinned or more "well spoken" slaves being put in the house. Or the more attractive ones becoming second families to the slave owner...a practive called "placage" if I remember correctly from which my family is directly descended.

I'm really bad at Forums so bear with me...but I agree with the girl like 7 posts up.

I am a black woman and my husband is white and interracial relations in society could not be farther from our minds. It seems like perhaps these dominant/submissive storylines are intended to be a little rediculous in their "black men big cock vs poor little white girl" formats. In real life I think this is rarely the case...that kind of mentality is reserved for pornography and erotica I think. I would hope the people reading this don't think it is like real life. Although, through literotica I have unfortunately had a lot of white men email me because they "had never been with a black girl before" which could not possibly be more of a turn off. If you have a shallow checklist...keep it to yourself.
