Her eyes squinted against the bright sunlight, one hand lifting to shade the glare. Her eyes, unique some say,but to her was an oddity. One was green as an emerald where the other was blue as the ocean. She was told she got them from her father,a man she had little feeling for. A man who had left her with her Aunt at 6 years of age, never to return. Her Aunt raised as a mother would..a mother she knew nothing about. Her Aunt had passed away several weeks prior and now Siobahn was on her own at 18.

Leaving the house she had grown up in, a town that had kept her sheltered from the harshness of life. She had driven until the town that lay before her seemed to call out to her. It called to her, bringing her in. She stood on the hillside peering down into the small yet welcoming town. She could see the people moving about in their daily routines, yet something felt different. Something that beckoned her. She turned and pulled out a jean jacket sliding it onto her small frame. The summer had yet to hit and the chill still hung in the air.Pulling her shoulder length black hair back into a ponytail she slid back behind the wheel of her old beat up jeep. Sliding the jeep into gear she slowly made her way down the ragged country road into the town.

She was aware of the eyes following her as she pulled into the small bed and breakfast. She gave a shy, friendly smile to the young boy who hurried out to take her small bags. Bags that held what was left of her life. She stopped short of entering the Inn and turned her head, the piercing blue eyes that met and held hers took her breath away. She couldnt pull her eyes away for several minutes, then she jerked away. Her heart hammered form the jolt the gaze had given her as she turned her head once more to seek out those eyes. The man was gone,a quick look up and down the street didnt turn him up either. She shook her head and then walked into the Inn.

" Oh My....Please come in."Came the soft friendly voice form behind the large counter. The older woman hurried around the counter, her face alit with joy. She quickly reached for Siobahn's hand and held it tightly. The older woman's eyes went wide and quickly let her hand go.

She stepped back and still smiled even thought it now seemed strained. "My name is Meggie..I own this Inn" She said as the cheerfulness returned to the womans face. "Pleased to see a new face around here...How long you be staying for Sweetie?" Meggie asked as she went back to the desk to open a log book.

Siobahn couldnt help but smile at the woman's friendliness, even if it seemed strained for several minutes earlier. "I'm not sure...I don't really have a game plan." Siobahn spoke softly as she saw the woman look up at her, then the smile returned. A room key was slid across the counter to Siobahn and Meggie leaned across the counter.

"Well until you know...I hope you find what you are looking for."She said before calling out to the boy to take her bags. Then meggie hurried off through a door into the back and Siobahn was left to follow the young boy up the stairs. She tried to tip him when he was ready to go but he shook his head and smiled. "No Maam..I appreciate it,but we are all family here." He said and hurried off. Siobahn frowned at his comment and tried to make sense of it.

She closed the door and the feeling of those eyes reminded her of the man they had been attached to. She couldnt tell much more than his eyes but his body was taller than most men she knew and built. Not overly so but strongly enough to make anyone think twice about fighting him. She bit back a yawn and sat down on the edge of the bed,she slid her jacket off and lay back. Closing her eyes, soon she was asleep with the image of those blue eyes floating around her head.

((KK....need one male writer to fill the role of the werewolf..Siobahn doesnt know the town if run by them...the man watching her has been waiting for her..his mate. She doesnt know it yet but she has been destined to be his mate since she was born. She will have to adjust to life in this town, yet not yet knowing what the town is..also dealing with people who want her to get to the alpha of the town..her destined mate. Send a sample opening post to me in PM and Ill let you know if it is what Im looking for. No one liners and at least one good paragraph..I will usually post once a week..more as limited time allows.))

Creed drew in a warm, dry drag, hi slips tightening around the last remains of his fag. (Or as his late father once called them ‘his fucking cancer sticks’.) His eyes slowly opened into the sunlight, raw and unforgiving as always. He blew a cloud of grey fumes, his hand leaving the handsomely defined contour of his face and the feel of his freshly shaved jaw. He took one last breath from his cigarette, blowing out little puffs of smoke, each one shorter than the last.

Almost like a countdown.

When there was no more smoke left to breathe, he flicked the cigarette away, ash trailing from it until the very moment it hit the ground. There was still enough length on it to smoke some more, but it was too late now. An old junker of a jeep drove past him, copiously crushing what had been his final guilty pleasure. He walked after the jeep, which was already turning into Meggie’s B&B. he walked after it, without any loss of his composure, throwing his pack of cigarettes into a nearby trash bin. He had, after all, promised his father that he would never touch tobacco again, not once he had finally found his mate. And his instinct told him that she had just driven in.

He cracked his neck, the visibly strong trapezoid muscles connecting it to his shoulders stretching as he did so. He smoothed out the creases in his plain, white shirt unbuttoned from top to bottom to proudly show what kind of musculature an alpha had- Tan, dust weathered skin clung tight to the chiselled, powerful muscles beneath, attractive body lines drawn out with the clarity of a fresh print.

He looked at he girl who emerged, his exterior self, trained to be the strong and unyielding leader of his pack, not twitching in the least, but inside himself, he broke down. She was gorgeous. Her raven hair blew in the dry wind, her jean jacket unable to hide her generous, but modest curves. Same went to the pants that cradled her long, attractive legs.

He nodded to Leo as he ran out to grab her bags, pointing him to Meggie’s with his chin. She would be able to confirm his doubts, or rather his hopes.

Then, as he was about to make his way around the inn, as he stole one last glance at the beauty that he hoped was his destined mate, he met her eyes. One of them green as fields lush as Eden, the other as pristine and blue of the sky watching over them, both of them forged into the eyes of a woman by the hardships of an unfair start to life. He loved her eyes. So different from the iceberg blue that constellated his cerulean irises.

She seemed captivated by him. He could barely keep his mouth from dropping open. His mind was racing for the entire second that their eyes stayed locked together, that second that felt like an eternity had just flown past.

She broke eye contact and turned her heel to leave into the bed and breakfast. Making quick note, he turned around to the side of the building, slowly making his way to the back, opening the staff door, almost running straight into Meggie.

“Creed! She’s here!” she said under a breath.

He nodded carefully. Skin contact couldn’t lie. Leo had done a good job in warning her to check for compatibility during that split second. He’d owe it to him someday soon…

“It’s okay Meggie. I know. I’ll go have a chat with her.” He said as he placed one hand on her shoulder, as if apologizing for being the cause of such excitement.

She peeled off his hand, taking a small key and placing it into his open palm.

“I only gave her one key. I kept the one that doesn’t make the door click for you. Now hurry into there… it’s by far time you get a stable mate, you dog!” She said, her face bright with the unmistakable smile that had given her laugh-lines and wrinkles.

“Don’t worry Meggie… I’m a twenty year old man, I know what to do.” He said with a wink barely holding back a little sarcastic ‘Mom’ at the end of his sentence. Everyone in his town was close to him, and everyone was to - Because he found it was important that a leader be close to the led, and she as she naturally acted like the caring loving grandmother she was- But not only to her grandchildren.

Without further ado, Creed made his way into the inn, trying to make some sense of the wind battered, feral hairstyle that his medium long, brownish-blond hair had been turned into to. He checked the room number on the key before hiding it away in his pocket, ready to use it if there was no answer at the door.

He knocked against the door quietly.

“Hello? May I come in please?” His deep, warm voice sounding through the short, clean hall.

Siobahn jerked awake at the knock on her door and the accompanying voice. Her heart jumped into her throat as the easy drawl fell over her. That voice was firm, yet almost speaking in a carress. She felt the goosebumps rise on her arms as she slid off of the bed. Her eyes going quickly to the mirror on the dresser to make sure she looked ok.

She pulled her hair free form the band holding it back and shook it out quickly as she approached the door. Her hand rested on the knob for a second, womndering if she should open the door for a stranger. Her inner voice told her to open it,her hand twisted the knob. She cracked the door open and her head cranked upwards.

Her eyes met those eyes of blue she remembered fom outside earlier. Eyes should would never forget. She swallowed deeply as she licked her bottom lip. "Can I help you?"She asked him feeling his personality strongly even from the quick glance. She knew then he was someone who was not to be trifled with. He was someone important here.

She didnt know why but she stepped backwards and opened the door, her eyes darting around him to see if he was alone. She felt small as she watched him move into the room. Her hands lifted to rub over her forearms, trying to chase the feeling away. "Please come in."She said softly, hoping her fright did not show in her voice. Her eyes moving from his quickly as she moved further back into her room.

"Can I help you? Please come in."

As soon as Creed heard her voice, he knew she had no idea of what she was, who she was, or what she was doing here. He drew a slow calm breath, thoughts rushing through his head as he tried to figure out to make her feel safe, secure and accepted without telling her a truth that would obviously destabilize her. He had always been good in talking to women, but now he felt as if all that had been a mirage, wondered if they were simply hoping they could contourn nature’s law and become the Alpha’s mate. He shivered inside as he began to talk.

“Well actually, you can help me, by just letting me introduce myself. I’m Creed Ändern, and well, I’m not a mayor or that type of bureaucrat, but I generally run this little place, even though I may not look like it right now.” He said quite casually, with the tone of a patriarch accepting a new member into the family- Which in more than one sense, he was.

He buttoned up his shirt, subtracting his chiselled perfect chest from view and brushed some sense into his wind-battered hairstyle, flashing an immaculate, almost perfect smile, with the exception of a couple barely discernable crooks in his lower teeth, a tad of overbite, and abnormally large canines

“I’d like to welcome you to this settlement, as small as it is. I hoped I could know why you’re here and help you find whatever you came here to look for,” he said, his piercing eyes breaking through her defences and doubt, accompanying his gaze with another charming smile.

He closed the door behind himself as he moved in looking to the small table just behind the corner. He had been in this room more than once, and done carnal things inside it almost as many times. Nevertheless, he didn’t let any of those thoughts get into his head. He was here to meet his mate. He pointed the seats, which seemed a little worn and old- but the brown-red leather cushions covering the seats were certainly no discouragement.

“Would you mind taking a seat with me…?” He paused, finally realizing that despite that he could almost taste the essence around her, he had no idea what her name was. He had been practically talking to himself. As what almost seemed to be an apology, he offered yet another smile, his captivating eyes staring deep into her, he started over again.

“I’m sorry, I didn’t even catch you name yet... Tell me a bit about yourself.” He asked, pulling her a chair before taking one for himself.

Siobahn blinked, removing her hand from his as she sat down. The old chair creaked but held firm under her weight. She crossed one trim leg over the other as she lookedover at Creed, her brow furrowing as shewatched him. Something was very different about him,she thought to herself. His eyes seemed to call to her, hold her own. It was a struggle to look away, his body was like a magnet, she felt herself being pulled toward him.

"I'm Siobahn..."She said softly finally looking away and out the window. "I..am looking for someplace new. I felt drawn to this lovely town." She spoke, her voice trembling slightly as she tried to look everywhere but at him. His body was filling the air all around her,yet he had not moved from his seat.

His presence was just overwhelming,he seend to be wrapping around her senses yet never once touched her other than her hand. Siobahn stood up and paced across the room, stopping to lean on the window sill. Her head tilted to look at him, grateful for once not having to break her neck looking at him when he was standing. Something else happened,it was as if her own body was crying out for him,her hearthammered in her chest and she felt her palms sweating. "Have we met before...you seem so familiar?"She finally asked him wondering where she had seen him before. Maybe she had dreamed about him or passed him in the city nearby.
