Are there men out there who want a normal (non-D/s), healthy relationship that happens to involve a lot of sexual power play? Is it possible to draw a line between dominance that's purely sexual and the girl being treated like she's only there to serve her boyfriend?

Note, I'm not looking for a man like this personally right now. I'm just wondering if there are any out there. I'm not sure if equality/respect and sexual submission are exclusive to one another, or if I've just had really bad luck with men.

A lot more than you can imagine -- you just haven't found one yet. You are very young, it's going to take awhile to find the right playmate for you.

Good luck!!

Sure it's possible. But if that's what you're looking for, why post in the BDSM personals?

I for one think I'm looking for the same as you are. I wouldn't mind a relationship where the BDSM is only in the bedroom, and the rest of the relationship is totally equal.

For the most part, me too.

I say "most part" because I would want to have the last say in the major decisions.... so we'd be mostly equal.

i have been in the exact relationship you are describing, many people are like that.

outside the bedroom it was equal, however you could say we were a little "old fashioned" for example she liked to cook and clean for me and liked when i ordered for her and was sort of in control of certain things like where we went out and such (or told her when she's had enough to drink).

most women like that to a certain extent, a take charge man, so i don't really count that as "submissive" but maybe others do. call it traditional or just a preference

Of course that kind of relationship is possible. I have had a couple like that. Very rewarding and worth waiting for. Submission is not about what they do to you, but what you can do for them. Some men seem to think that D/s is all about being a bully and taking what they want and not thinking about the feelings of the other prson involved. But its not like that at all. Its about knowing how to please each other and your limitations, and having the trust and respect to not overstep those boundaries.
