Is It Wrong In Virtual reality?

"I am thinking north" He told her glancing back and rising as he waited for the food to finish "We had to head that way any ways for supplies" He explained coming over and leaning in to give her a deep kiss.

"Then we can head East though that will bring us closer to the castle and the front line" Kiato remarked a frown crossing his face "I am not sure how good of an idea that is I have heard a rumor some of those front line guys like to "Conscript" other players into the fight.....Crazy fuckers who want to go home no matter the cost"

He shook his head and turned noting the food was done. With a few taps they each had a steaming bowl of beef broth in their hands and a few rice cakes.

She put her hand on his shoulder, a gentle smile on her expression. "We'll avoid them. There's ways to stealth around the group near the castle. No worries there, Kiato.." she said as she looked to him. She looked to the food in her hands and sighed. "Then again," she muttered. "It would be nice to go home." She dipped her spoon into the bowl as she began to eat.

A few minutes passed and they were on their way to the the first quest on their agenda. Heading north like her son had wanted to go. The forests were thick, luscious and green. Full of life. Various butterflies, creatures and foliage growing here. Kumera knelt down to a few of the flowers, carefully picking them as she stored them away in her inventory to sell later. It was definitely worth it to take this path.

She looked to her son. "So, if we could go home - what would you do first?" she asked him.

Her question startled Kiato pulling him from his thoughts and causing him to give her a weird look. Go home? Why was she always talking about going home? She had seemed almost wistful when she spoke of it..... Of course he couldnt expect her to understand. His mom was hot and popular online or back home. She wasnt the kind of person who needed to hide in a video game, some one who felt more comfortable here than they ever did in the real world.

"Go get a life" Kiato said firmly his tone very final as they moved down the trail and a few islands floated above them "I would get a life for my self not be the loser any more" He told her the last words coming out as a growl.

Kiato sighed and relaxed his hand moving from his sword "What about you?" He asked her taking a side ways glance "Would you go back to work? Back ot dating?" He asked his voice having a tone of jealously.

His question of whether or not she'd go back to dating, it seethed into her. It was as if he didn't want to leave at all. But hell, they could do so much more outside this game. She looked to the ground as they walked. "No. I believe I'd want to travel the world, oddly enough.." She took his hand in hers, moving closer to him, resting her head on his shoulder. "But only if you wanted to join me. I wouldn't want to leave you home alone. You spent too much time at home as it was."

They were nearing their first objective and there were numerous people scurrying about. "Help! Help! It's the viruses! They've corrupted the NPCs!" one of the people said running past them, running from the battle.

Kumera looked to the person and then back to her son. "Corruption of the NPCs? Viruses?" She ran on ahead, katana in hand.

"Of course I would Mom" He said smiling and giving her hand a squeeze "You know I would" He said leaning in to kiss her as they continued walking forward and on their journey.

It turned out they didnt need to go far

Suddenly there were people running around panicked and scared. There seemed to be an equal amount of NPC's and players who were freaked out which only further worried Kiato. The NPC's were designed to act this way and play there parts...... The players were supposed to be the action hero's the one charging into battle.

Then he heard what they were saying

"Mom wait!" Kiato said grabbing her and pulling her to a stop "if its a virus it could effect us to! Remember we are code just like them!"

Kiato scanned around to see if any of the NPC's were acting irregular. For the most part it didnt seem like any were infected but since he hadnt seen an infected NPC before he didnt know what they acted like. A bolt of fear ran through him and he sucked in air as he activated his spell tree.

"We need a birds eye view" Kiato told her his armored mech suit forming around him "I will scout ahead you keep a look out dont let any one touch you okay?" He told her glancing down at her.

"Remember we are code just like them!"

His words shot through her. It didn't make any sense at all. But what he said was true. They were just code. They were yanked from the real world and cast into this virtual reality - made to play, or were they? She stood there watching him activate his spell tree.

"Kiato.." she paused. "Don't take too long. I don't want to lose you.." she said, reassuring him. She watched as he lifted off getting a different angle from it. Glancing around, the NPCs were running about. It was true madness. What would cause this? There seemed to be more questions than answers.

She pulled out her katana, murmuring a spell to cast a glow on the blade. She was a spellweaver as well as a blade master. She chuckled. "God, this would have never been real in our real lives.." she said to herself as she walked around. She was ready to take down anyone that might cause harm to her or her beloved son.

After a bit, an NPC walked up to her, all calm. "Ma'am, would you like to view my wares?" Kumera looked to the male NPC, dressed in a long robe and hair long as well.

"No, I believe I'm fine. Thank you though.." she said turning away.

"You don't understand. I have good wares.. Please v-v-view them-m-m.." the male NPC stuttered, his graphics glitching out as he spoke, just as Kumera turned around to glance at him. The NPC was completely naked before her, his skin covered in a type of pox and his dick hard, dangling between his legs as he moved towards her.

"Get back!" she yelled, "Aurora flash!" she held up her hand and a stream of light flew from her fingers to blind the NPC. It wasn't a normal act to attack NPCs but it was needed at this point because he was obviously infected.

"Kiato!" she cried out as she noticed a female wandering near her, completely in the nude. Her breasts were moving about and Kumera's eyes widened and moved backwards. "Damn it, Kiato! We've got to clear this area!"

IT was pure madness

There were fires every where dotting the village and the surounding area. Every where he looked he saw signs of A great battle. The people however were the most disconcerting. The moved around in a state of shock every one from players to NPC's. What could have caused this? Was the game changing once more? Were they trying to force all players to get more invovled?

He was about to go further when his mothers shout caught his attention. He looked down noting in shock the advancing NPC's that looked infected.

"No!" He growled dropping back down to earth. He activated his Mech and turned bringing hist first up and collecting his energy as he plummeted back down to earth.

"Meteor crash!" He shouted as he slammed into the ground. A crater formed in the ground and a shock wave went out blasting the NPC's back and into the tree line.

"We have to go" Kiato murmured his armor disappearing as he pulled out his twin swords "come mama let us leave now" He said backing up as more infected NPC's appeared.

"Help us..."
"Yes, help us..."
"Save us..."
"Don't run..."
"Look at our w-wares..."

The NPCs were multiplying and some were even changing into monsters. The voices echoing in their ears as the duo backed up.

Kumera brought up her blade and looked to the NPCs. "I'm so sorry!" she cried out as she brought down her blade across the forehead of the one NPC, the pixels exploding and spreading out, the infected pixels going to the others and enhancing them. It was never-ending. "Kiato! What do we do?!" she cried out as she looked to him. "We just can't leave them here."

A few other players came up and began to attack the NPCs. "Just kill them!" one of the other players said, to which Kumera gasped.

"Why kill them?!"

"That's the only way to save them. They'll respawn. It happened in one town over.." another player said coming up and swinging his mace, a glowing light coming from his hand.

Kumera turned to Kiato. "Should we?" she asked, tears coming to her eyes. She was so confused. This went against the code of the game and not only that, the rules.

"There just NPC's" He replied back his sword coming out and twirling "If they respawn all the better!"

His sword began to crackle with electric energy as he activated his spell. With a shout he whipped his blade out creating a cascading electric wave that cut into the infected NPC's. They exploded in a shower of pixels twitching as they tried to find some one to infect.

"Those pixels and code" He shouted pointing at them "Destroy them"

He sheathed his sword and shot his hand out. A fire twisted up his arm crackling with energy and anger. It touched his hand and shout out a solid red flame that cascaded over some of the pixels and burned them away.

Kumera turned to admire her son's amazing display of prowess. Such skill and ability, this game is perfect for him. She turned to create and cast her own spells. Blue aura cascading across her blackened blade as she turned to the pixels strewn into the wind. It was an intense energy enveloping her as magic was created in the air. "Blackened Shards!" she cried out as the energy once surrounding her materialized and shot through the air towards the remains of the NPCs.

And as if it was a miracle, they respawned. Just as her son had said. But they looked different. Different code, different models. They weren't poisoned with the viruses any longer, but they were different than the last time they had been here.

"Hello traveler! Care to browse my wares?" the one male NPC asked waving his arm to the cart that just a moment ago had been engulfed in flames that Kiato had summoned instead of flashing them with a boil-ridden body.

Kumera sighed placing her hand on her son's shoulder. "They're cured," she spoke, "but who knows for how long. And how many other villages could be infected?"
