Typically yes. Though I confess that I will at times use an image that I've found that just strikes me the right way.

Though I have to say, the most annoying question I get is "Is that YOU?" My selections, be they of my own body or an image that has touched me, is all a reflection of my personality -- I would rather you look at the AV and question the intent/thought behind the choice. I realize that's asking a lot out of most people, but every now and again someone comes along who WANTS to know more....to those I am willing to open and share.
