I wanna say no.. but there’s a tiny little bit of me that says yes
Am I the only one that finds crushes a little inconsequential?
As I understand it, feelings of ‘crushing’ are a sign of attraction and desiring another. And we all like to know that we may be attractive and desirable to someone, so why not tell them? It could lead to something special. At the very least, you’ve made someone’s day by telling them and if it’s not reciprocated then you can let the crush go and find someone more deserving.
I guess I just don’t understand having a crush and doing nothing with it.![]()

Fear of rejection?
Fair point. I can definitely understand that. It’s a big fear of mine. But I suppose I’ve come to fear wasting my time and my heart more. I’d rather the initial sting of rejection than harbour feelings for someone who I may be viewing through crush rose-tinted goggles or who will never feel the same in return.
