Israel's Shield No More?

Not unless your vision of millions of slaughtered Jews comes to fruition.

Who wants millions of Jews slaughtered?! I just want the plight of the Palestinians relieved, by a one-state or a two-state solution; either can be done without anyone dying.

Typical of Obama in his quest to bring down Israel and uplift the causes of radical Islam:

U.S. Threatens Sanctions Against Israel, Makes Excuses for Iran
9:43 AM, MAR 19, 2015 • BY DANIEL HALPER

The U.S. government might impose sanctions on Israel or allow its greatest ally in the Middle East to be tried in the International Criminal Court, according to Politico. Michael Crowley reports:

Obama officials must now decide whether more international pressure on Israel can help bring a conservative Netanyahu-led government back to the negotiating table with the Palestinians — or whether such pressure would simply provoke a defiant reaction, as some fear.

Obama has other diplomatic options. He could expend less political capital to oppose growing momentum within the European Union to impose sanctions on Israel for its settlement activity.

More provocative to Israel would be any softening of Obama’s opposition to Palestinian efforts to join the International Criminal Court, which the Palestinian Authority will formally join on April 1. Under a law passed by Congress, any Palestinian bid to bring war crimes charges against Israel at the court will automatically sever America’s $400 million in annual aid to the Palestinian Authority, although some experts suggested Obama could find indirect ways to continue some funding — even if only to prevent a dangerous collapse of the Palestinian governing body.

Meanwhile, in other news, the U.S. government is making excuses for Iran's testing of its nuclear program. Bloomberg reports:

The only thing that has stopped the International community in the form of the U.N. from imposing sanctions on Israel until now over it's expansionist policies in disregard of international law has been the US' continual veto.

It's long past time that Israel took responsibility for it's actions without Big Brother America there to keep the rest of the world from holding them accountable. Especially considering Netanyahu's revelation this week regarding Har Homa and the lies he peddled to the US government in justifying its construction.

Netanyahu declared in 2001 that “America is a thing you can move very easily”. He excels at playing the United States, particularly the American "right", for fools. They lap it up and call any who voice any opposition antisemitic.

I doubt it when the stated opinion of Palestinians is a rejection of the two state solution and deny the legal existence of Israel.

Well, of course they'll say so in an opinion poll. That does not mean they will reject an independent West Bank if it is seriously offered. And if after that they still want to deny Israel's legitimacy, let them, they'll still have to deal with Israel.

When Palestinians overwhelmingly support the Iranian financed and armed Hezbollah and Hamas, death on a massive scale is eminent.

See above. And I doubt the Iranians have anything to do with Hamas, it's a Sunni organization.

From Wiki:

Hamas is a militant and political organization currently in power in the Gaza Strip. According to Mahmoud Abbas, President of the Palestinian National Authority, "Hamas is funded by Iran. It claims it is financed by donations, but the donations are nothing like what it receives from Iran.[3][4] Iran also supplies Hamas with military weaponry.[5] Technologies provided include Fajr-5, M-75, and M-302 rockets, as well as drones.[6]

Aid to Hamas increased after Arafat’s death in 2004 and Israel’s withdrawal from Gaza in 2005. Following the Hamas victory in the 2006 Palestinian elections, foreign aid dried up, leading Tehran to send significant financial aid to support the nearly bankrupt, Hamas led Palestinian National Authority.[2]

Interesting. So, do you think an independent Palestine would be an Iranian puppet? After independence they wouldn't need Iran any more -- Jordan would make a more convenient ally -- and most Pals are Sunni.

So you think that a majority of people who do not think Israel has a right to exist, especially right next door, will cease that activity and become loving neighbors? You are naive.

No, I don't think they'll fall in love, but I do think they'll stop fighting. It would be stupid -- at present Israel, since it already holds the WB, can only respond to terrorism by aggressive policing and controls, and of course that doesn't stop the terrorism, because the Pals ain't about to give up the fight and terrorism is the only tactic they can use at all; but if Palestine is an independent state, then not only is there no longer so much to fight over, but Israel gets to respond to any act of war with conventional warfare, and Israel will always be superior in that regard.

I'll wait:cool:

I feel confident that we'll never see a Republican Congress acknowledge Palestine's right to exist.

But they would. Iran would be trying to foment violence through their proxies there, the Islamic Jihad would continue unabated.

Your problem is you think "the Islamic Jihad" is all one thing. It ain't. Iran is against ISIS. And, this isn't the 1980s, Iran ain't much interested in jihad any more anyway; it's just playing state power politics, it wants regional hegemony for Iran, not for Shi'a Islam, that's just a convenient tool.

It seems that Israel is finally about to discover that actions do indeed have consequences. (They've often claimed an exception from consequences for their actions...because TEH HOLOCAUST!)

The Obama Administration is seriously considering allowing the United Nations to have up-or-down votes on Israeli atrocities...something it has used its security council veto to prevent for the past 60+ years.

Looks like Reichfuhrer Bibi's last-minute election promise to never seek peace in Palestinian areas will have lasting repercussions.

The Fatass Marine and the AIPAC boyz will be along shortly to demand their collective fainting couches.

Obama is no friend of Israel. The writing was on the wall, all you had to do is listen to him or see who his friends were.....why 80% of Jews didnt see this and voted for him anyway is beyond me.

My question is, why does Obama hate Israel and want to see them destroyed?
