It amazes me that people even still bother to argue about politics. You're never going to change another's opinion in that realm.

Very true. I can deal with frank exchanges of views and perspectives, with aphorisms and sig lines that signal a point of view, but to devolve into baiting and argument? Pointless, and borderline creepy when you factor in the sexualized context. I like my ideas and my politics, but I don't particularly need to get off on them.

My continuation of it amazes me had absolutely nothing to do with you in any way, shape, or form but rather something that I had witnessed during my travels out and about in the world today. So before you make an indignant retort against someone you might want to take a step back and stop to think that maybe *gasp* you are not their focus. All I did was comment to the fact that you called an entire gender of people "babes" and not women.

Perhaps I should have said that it amazes me in 2010 that a man would still use the neanderthal word "babe" to classify the female species.
