It's Halloween so where's the horror? Here of course.

The Making of the greatest horror movie of all time.

Interesting look at how they had to create all the practical effects before CGI and digital editing techniques.

“- Alexei Rugalov: You dirty bat! You bit my mother!
- Dracula: What is your name?
- Alexei Rugalov: Alexei. Rugalov.
- Dracula: No, Alexei. I bit your mother, and your grandmother.”

Once Bitten, 1985, Lauren Hutten, Jim Carrey, Karen Kopins

I do love a good practical effect. There was a great one for the transformation in the 1931 Jekyll and Hyde:

The horror... the horror... where are my fucking Ho Ho's? What are you doing with that machete? Put it down. Get me the Ho Ho's. I'm a suitcase; you can't machete a fucking suitcase. Kal-El The son becomes the father, and the father the son. This is all I... all I can send you, Kal-El. So put the fucking machete down! The horror.. the horror... he ain't putting down the machete.
