It's time

WooHoo!!

this brings back memories.
Hot water!!..towels!!..LOL
hope she is alright. i always thought that women get a massive burst of energy right before the labor sets in. my ex did for both of mine and i know quite a few of our friends were like that as well.
either way, hang in there Gilly (and Mr bean as well)
good luck. dont forget your suitcase by the front door, phone the doctor, drive fast but carefully,

Way to go Gilly. you said to me the other day you were aiming for the 4th..... I still say you should have waited another 10 days
:) 14th is a good day to be born.

Well good luck (even though if it happened acording to when you started posting it should be done by now or at least almost)

-sighs- Well, I finally managed sleep... and slept good. No more contractions, though. :(

-hugs- Thanks all, but I don't think it's time anymore.

My hope now, is that the Dr will check for dialating, and thining, and tell me that has at least started, since the contractions stopped. :(

Gilly Bean,

I was so hoping that, well, you know.....that you were having the baby.

But, looking on the bright side....maybe Fly_On_Wall knows something we don't know. lol

I'm glad you were able to get some rest, though, as that was much needed.

Now, get walking! lol

Enchanted

I'm taking the chance that you don't have me on ignore so that I can tell you good luck and congratulations on a healthy, happy newborn!

Well, went to the Dr's office for my appt. I am dialated to a 1. Which means... well.. Nothing at all. :(

I was SO hopeing he would say:

Wow! You are dialated to 5! Rush home, get the gear, and meet me at the hospital!

Ok, so I knew that wouldn't happen, but I can hope, can't I?

-sighs-

So, it will be a bit yet.

Thanks MH :)

I looked up dilation at Babycenter.com, and they say, that since I AM dilating, I am 'officially' in the early stages of labor.

They also say it will take around 12-14 hours before anything happens, but that it may take far less with 2nd and subsequent children. How come it is, that I feel really at a loss here, on what's happening? I have done this 2x now, and still, when it starts to go, it's like a completly new experiance. I feel like a 1st time mother again.

Oh well, 1 is better then 0. :)

Gilly, You can be dialated for a month or more at 1.. that is the really early stages of labor. Once you get to about 3.. then it's all down hill from there (usually). I personaly was dialated at one for 2 months with all my pregnancies. I only dialated fully with the first pregnancy.. and that took me 52 hours.. then I dropped back down (basicly I was closing up shop *L*) and they ended up doing a c section. After trying natural with the second baby(and never dialating past 5) they decided I would have all my kids c section.. so i never went into active labor again. They set a date.. and I went to the hospital to give birth.

Once you hit active labor.. watch out.. baby number 3 will be there.. and it more than likely will be quick. My mom had 2 hours of labor with my little brother.. he was born somewhere between the waiting room and the elevator up to the delivery room. *L* and he was number 3 for her.

Good luck.. oh.. yeah.. and when you are having Braxton Hicks contractions again.. try taking a luke warm bath.. no warmer than body temp.. real contractions will get worse.. Braxton Hicks will be go away. That will tell you if they are "real" or not..

Good luck.. I'm still guessing the 8th (or atleast something with an 8 in it.. 18th? 28th? maybe).. *L*

See, that's what I remember to, though with Raegan and Chris both, I was only at 1 for about a week, maybe less. With Rae, I went in on Tuesday for my appt, and was at 1, then had her on Sunday. With Chris, I went in, and was at 1 on Monday, and had him on Friday. I am HOPEING against HOPE that it holds true.

My mom had a labor like that. #4, and last, she was almost 3 weeks overdue, but Brooke was small, so they let her 'stew' for a bit. Well, she finally went into the hospital to be induced. They administered the Pitocin at 10am. At 10:50am, Brooke was born. She said it was the most painful labor she had ever experianced, because it was so fast, and hard.

Now me, Rae was only 12 hours, Chris was 18. Of course, when I say 12 with Rae, that's the amount of time from when I first woke up in labor, to delivering. I woke up in full blown labor with her. Chris, I woke up in very mild labor around 10am, and had him at 4 am. It wasn't even till 10pm that I went in. So, I think I will have some forwarning... at least, enough to get to the hospital and settled... and DRUGGED first.
