What did "they" do to Trump?
First, he was investigated for being involved in a Russian attempt to influence the 2016 election. His own intelligence folks were unanimously of the opinion that Russia did interfere in the election. Trump had a prospective real estate deal in Russia. Trump's son met with a Russian operative to get dirt on Hillary Clinton. Trump persistently (and to this day) defended Russia's conduct and cast doubt on its interference, despite everything that nearly everyone was telling him. There was plenty of ground to investigate him.
Second, Trump was caught on audiorecord trying to extort the president of Ukraine into conducting a frivolous investigation of his political rival, without any basis. You can read the transcript.
Third, Trump was impeached because he tried to use his power to strongarm government officials in overturning the 2020 election. This isn't conjecture. We can look at the videotape of the speech he gave on January 6, 2021, where he urged his VP to violate his constitutional duty.
Fourth, a jury in New York found Trump liable for sexually abusing a woman. That verdict still has not been overturned.
Fifth, in another case a New York judge found Trump intentionally provided false information about his property holdings to inflate values to get favorable loan terms. That verdict still has not been overturned.
Sixth, in another case a jury convicted him of 34 felony counts for falsifying business records to hide his bribes to porn stars to conceal his affairs with them. That verdict, too, has not been overturned.
One of these things is not like the other. There are mountains of evidence that Trump is a criminal, a con man, and a fraud. There's no evidence that Comey is a criminal, other than a few seashells on the sand.
Do you really not see how insane this comparison is?

I hate to say it, because I detest Jim Comey and he absolutely abused power to harm President Trump, but this looks like a weak case.
8647 can be a call to kill the President and it's extremely irresponsible to post in the current environment, but it also has other meanings. Comey will argue (probably successfully) that he merely meant remove him from office. That may not be true, but it will almost certainly be a successful argument.
But the attempt to portray this as weaponization, especially while ignoring or defending four years of weaponization from the Biden regime, is simply dishonest and shows the hatred of the people making that allegation. To them, Trump did it, therefore it's ipso facto corrupt.
Unfortunately, that's the way the game is played today.
As much as many of us would like to see Comey punished for his abuses, this was probably an unwise move.
