January 6th Prosecution vs. Trump - Loving Updates

trump promises that if he wins in 2024 and then loses in '28, there'll be no repeat of Jan.6th and he'll hand over power peacefully

During an interview with conservative radio host Hugh Hewitt Friday, Donald Trump promised that, if he does become president in 2024, there won't be a January 6 repeat if he loses four years later.

“Of course,” Trump replied to Hewitt when asked if he would hand over power peacefully. He then claimed that that's exactly what he did in 2020.
“And I did that this time. And I’ll tell you what, the election was rigged, and we have plenty of evidence of it. But I did it anyway," Trump said.

gawsh, with promises like that who can be worried about anything???

i honestly can't wrap my head around team trump attempting to say the 14th doesn't apply to him because, as a president of the United States of America, he's not 'an officer' of the U.S.A

The oath of office of the president of the United States is the oath or affirmation that the president of the United States takes upon assuming office. The wording of the oath is specified in Article II, Section One, Clause 8, of the United States Constitution, and a new president must take it before exercising or carrying out any official powers or duties.

Text

Before he enter on the Execution of his Office, he shall take the following Oath or Affirmation:— "I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my Ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States."[2]

^^it's right there. the 'office of President of the United States', ergo, he was an officer of the government.

it was his duty, as an officer of the U.S, to preserve, protect and defend the Constitution... he not only failed to do so, but actively engaged in attempting to overturn it!

It’s ridiculous, but it’s all about- delay, delay, delay

And that ^ is why a conviction for insurrection is not practicable, nor is it reasonable and necessary.

Notice; The good patriots ( loyal Americans) that crafted section 3 of the 14th amendment didn’t specify that a traitor need be convicted of insurrection to be denied the privilege of holding public office.

An act of insurrection is one of those things where it’s obvious.

The corrupt orange traitor was / is the Captain Obvious of insurrectionists.

Of course, the traitorous scum that supported / support the corrupt orange traitor would disagree - but do / should traitorous scum really get a say in such matters???

🤔

And some weak-spined folks in the center and on the left want to let the matter go to the ballot out of fear of what the traitorous scum will do.

Is that ^ how Americans want to live???

Are those the rules now???

JFC

SAD!!!

Three more insurrectionists were arrested today in Florida.
These were winners too, dragging police down stairs, crushing them in the door, hitting with a flag pole…

But of course the wrong wing losers will defend that… calling them patriots.

WASHINGTON — Dramatic, newly released video shot by a Jan. 6 rioter shows the confrontation between two Republican members of Congress and Capitol rioters trying to breach the main door into the chamber of the U.S. House of Representatives. The videos show rioters staring down the barrels of guns through broken glass as they tried to force their way inside.
it shows two republican representatives, nehls (Texas) and mullin (Oklahoma), telling the rioters they're doing something illegal and they are ashamed of this

"You ought to be ashamed of yourself!” Nehls says.

“We’re coming in one way or another!” one rioter says.

"I’ve been in law enforcement in Texas for 30 years, and I’ve never had people act this way," Nehls says. "I’m ashamed!"
"I had my Texas mask on, and he looked at me through that broken glass and he said 'You're from Texas, you should be with us,' and at that point, I said 'No, sir, I cannot support what you're doing, this is criminal.'"

although nehls has since gone on to call babbitt's shooting 'murder', seems more than one of the rioters was fortunate NOT to have been shot as they attempted to force their way to representatives that day:

“I drove fourteen hours to get here and stood in the cold for three and a half hours to find out that Mike Pence is a f------ traitor, man. And I voted for that f------ dude,” Beckley says in the video. “He could’ve done the right thing and certified those legislators, electors, and we wouldn’t be standing here with a nine-millimeter pointed at me right now!”
trump's words, trump's insinuations, trump's lies as parroted by one of his american idiots

Yup- their first reaction to call it out. Then…when they gotta own the libs, we defend the actions.

I’ll take the genuine first look.

SCOTUS will take up Trump's immunity defense. Will delay the trial.
Trump will not get tried for shit

There are some in America above the law

There is one special level of justice

Mitch McConnell destroyed the US government

So, turns out Kenneth Cheeseburger is even more of a piece of shit than I thought he was.

Here he is at Jan 6th with his hero, Alex Jones:

Starting to wonder if Trump is mulling over what going to jail via this gag order would do re: getting his base riled up.

He may be thinking a night or weekend in the slammer would be worth it... 🤔
Trump would immediately start bitching that he was only being provided with off-brand adult protective underwear.
