Jared Kushner under FBI scrutiny for collusion

I think that investigators are going to have to do a lot of the joining of the dots in the Kushner establishing a back channel to the Russians thing (and I think the dots do connect) for this to lead anywhere. There's a lot of legitimate disagreement on whether an incoming administration can legitimately create back channels to other countries or not. Too many legal authorities are saying "yes."
He was attempting a back channel to Russia after it was known that Russia cyber-attacked the US. Legitimate is not a very good word for it.

As I posted, there are dots to be connected. To establish a backchannel to argue over that very sort of issue has been done in the past, though--and it has been argued by good authorities that it's legitimate to do. I don't think that's the main attack on this issue.

Ronnie had his back channel to Tehran, used the money to kill Brown People for bananas. Probably not a good precedent. -

Poor Ivanka and her kids. Daddy's in the Big House, just like his dad.

Poor and Ivanka will never fit in the same sentence. If anything with d-bag dad and d-bag hubby in jail, she can go back to being a liberal and so some good with her money and ideas.

But...if all this can be believed his contact goes back to April well before Trump was elected and the transition excuse could be used.

What I'm surprised at with all of this is that the republican faction that wants this moron out of office hasn't joined in on this and really put the screws to him. Its their shot to be out from under his lunacy as much as it is the Dems.

Maybe they don't want Pence any more than any of the rest of us.

Democrat Cory Booker defends Jared Kushner — after receiving loads of campaign cash

Cory is an "Honest Politician," he stays bought!

New Jersey Democratic Sen. Cory Booker — a potential 2020 White House contender and recipient of major campaign contributions from Jared Kushner and others in the Kushner family — declined to endorse his party's call for the White House to revoke the security clearance of the president's son-in-law.

The Democratic National Committee has called for Kushner's security clearance to be revoked after reports that he sought to set up back-channel communications with Russian officials. Similarly, Rep. Adam Schiff — the senior Democrat on the House Intelligence Committee — said Kushner's security credentials should be reviewed.

Kushner and other donors affiliated with Kushner Cos. delivered more than $41,000 to Booker's Senate campaign in 2013, according to data compiled by PoliticalMoneyLine.com. Politico reported that Ivanka Trump hosted a fundraiser for Booker during that election.

In 2009, Jared Kushner also gave $20,000 to Booker's Newark mayoral ticket "Booker Team for Newark," New Jersey campaign finance records show. That year, Booker attended the wedding of Kushner and Ivanka Trump.

Booker has in the past made headlines taking stances at odds with others in his party. During the 2012 election, for instance, Booker defended the private equity industry and slammed Barack Obama's campaign for attacking then-Republican nominee Mitt Romney's private equity firm, Bain Capital. More recently, Booker cast a pivotal vote against Democratic legislation to allow Americans to buy lower-priced prescription drugs from Canada.

Line of succession to the president after Trump:

- Pence
- Paul Ryan
- Orrin Hatch

Which nightmare you want?

How I long for the days of perpetual candidate Pat Paulsen.

Or Harold Stassen?

I've been known to write in Eleanor Roosevelt. Even dead, she's a better candidate than most.

I think of all the dumb moves Trump has made, adding Kushner to his staff was perhaps the dumbest. Ivanka, maybe, I guess....also a dumb move. Nepotism is never a good idea....nobody likes it. But when I heard that Kushner wasn't one for the books and he still got into Harvard, that's when I figured he was just another rich kid.

Born on third base, and thinking he hit a home run! Best line

If Trump gets nailed Pence may as well. How could he not have known a lot of this. If they both go I think Ryan would be less of a nightmare out of simple fear that the Republican party would already be seen as an utter fraud and bigger disgrace than ever. he would then do what any desperate politician does...start trying to come up with decent changes to make it look like HE cares about the people.

But regardless one step at a time. Get rid of Trump then focus on the others.

But but Obama put his family in key positions! Oh, wait, no he didn't. Sorry I was just repeating what all the right says anything trump does is okay if they can say the other side did it too.

Kushner is just like Trump he's lost billions...yet somehow is running this country. While in debt to Russian banks.

Don't be so sure. Ryan has his own wet dreams completely disconnected from the Trump cluster fuck that would be a nightmare all on his own - privatization of social security just to name one.

Oh, I have no doubt how despicable he is. I just think that if it comes down to him, the Pres and VP have gotten the boot and he is going to have to toe a line because the dems and the repubs smart enough to want to keep their jobs will be circling him like piranhas and making sure he doesn't send the public into even more of an anti right frenzy.

I'm not so confident Pence would get the boot though. He's awfully slick. His record in Indiana is enough to make me cringe. Heh, let's be real though, there's nothing about the current president that hasn't made me cringe in one way or another.

Bwwwwaaahaaahaaaa. Sorry, I just saw this and cracked. That's funny. Impeach Trump, take our Pence, remove Ryan. I want to see Orrin Hatch as President. Please. Just for a few years. One term. You'd all be begging for Trump to return. ROTFLMAO at that one.
