If they really were very fine people, they'd have either stayed the hell away from that protest, or joined the counterprotest. They did neither.

The worst you can point to here is that our side is guilty of too much paraphrasing. Even given that, though, Trump's comments still point to his absolute inability to ever unequivocally condemn anyone whom he perceives as supporting him.
