Do leave your verse here if you desire, all are gladly welcomed. :)

Tried this once before but life's rancorous nature
cast my muse to the wind
caught in dark thoughts and sorrow
I had no well on which to draw
only that of bitterness and hurt

Winter has passed to spring
and the force in me buds
seeking the warmth and light
Only that which brings exhuberance
is worthy of contemplation

Celebrating life
a kiss, a hug, a friend
rapturous merging
gladness beckons
a light pure with intent of joy
touching the core of another
real and unveiled
casting love to the cosmos
seeds of gentle truth
to carress my heart's desire
and bring her into my fold of light
and let her beauty blossom
into her pure lovely essence
cradled in my arms in sweet surrender
of our mutual delight

There once was man from Nantucket...ooopppsss sorry JR. How ya been?:)

Not bad managing to put a positive spin on life for a change.
How have you been? I keep meaning to drop by your threads and say hello but I am always running out of time.....:)

Unknown

I stood there next to you.
Your name unknown.

There was that magnetic pull
Of naked, primal desire.

I felt your presence -
Like a lover from the past.

My mouth watered suddenly
Your tongue intertwined with mine.

My heart raced forward
With orgasmic beats.

I fell in love with you,
Your name yet unknown.

Thank you, done_got_old. It is a lovely poem, strong in it's attraction, sweet in it's glow.:heart:

A new creation
not needing mediation
perhaps a bit of meditation
Oh Lord no! Not medication!
The poems themselves heal
make one of them a meal
take it in and digest it
I hope you feel it's best fit
Some take long to scribe
Some are a short ride
Some can be funny
and some so punny
Others a mix of beauty
Let's leave more than a few-ty
we can bombard this thread
and really make it spread
the good stuff is here
and with a dear friend being near

Hello John Roberts!

Hello MissIntrigue, <laughing>
My hearts delight
smiling I kiss you goodday and goodnight
Cheerful indeed are the words that you write
Making the day uplifting putting me in light
:heart:

Oh my Head hurts-
I wish this headache it would spurt
I have been up and down
all day with a frown
I can't shake it and
I don't want to bake it
I don't think a crunchy headache would taste good!

lol going to take pills...ugh

Oh,MissIntrigue I am so sorry to read
of your sore head and the comfort you need
Were I there would be a gentle massage
rubbing your neck,bod and feet
beverages for you cool and sweet
quiet music to soothe you as you doze
for you I would grant many days like those
I hope you are feeling better, and feeling sprite
for all of us love your spirit's delight

I feel better, a bit more bright
As JR put it: feeling sprite
I have had a good Fathers Day
Last month I had a good Mothers Day
I play both roles in one day,
and I do pretty well my little one say
She said to me today...
Happy Fathers Day Mommy
Because you are that too.
And I said "You are so sweet Pumpkin, Thank you"

I might say it was a wonderful day
Having such a fine bright son is fun
His wit and sparing make him a darling
and intellect oh my! I am in trouble
when he gets to be a teen make that double.
and a double I must say that i will imbibe
to stifle the impulse to tan his hide.....

Not really, we do not practice physical punishment but ...Geez!
:D

It's two in the mornin'
I'm not lucky to be groanin'

There ain't no moanin' here
There ain't no man I want, near

I am here beside me
My elbow on my knee

My chin in my hand
I wonder where, which fairy land

My fingers trace my lips
Wishing there were gentle nips

That are so soft
Like a cotton candy loft

It's two in the mornin'

Wishing i was there in the moonlight
stealing kisses such a delight
after a rumba we danced
slow and sexy we might,
company as yours in the night
we would never feel lonely
it would be so right
holding you tight in the moonlight
tasting cotton candy kisses such a delight

Please come in the next moonlit night
It would be my delight
to have the kiss taken
from the one I have partaken
in dance with tonight

A mambo, a rhumba,
a lovers dance of flirt in both
we shine in the night

Yes, it would be right, all in the moonlight
and to share such a sweet kiss...total delight
A kiss laden with sugar
and a desire to taste a bit more

A night in south beach
a live latin band lighting up the dark
the music lifting us to the heavens
smiles, rhythms congoes ring to the core
stirring the life force oh how I adore
the excitement in your eyes
as you move lovely on the floor
Cuban motion as your hips sway to the sound
the horn section plays turning up the heat
Mambo on the two, how delightfully sweet
a lady looks so gracefull dancing to that beat:rose:

We dance so well together, you and I
I look into your eyes with a great sigh
Not wanting the night to end
Just desiring the dancing to pend
Oh that beat
It's just damn sweet
It does not compare though
to the beat in between my sheets
You know
And it just makes my feet
so happy

Dance to the dawn
to watch the sun
rising over the ocean
a buffett for two
and then a snooze
or torrid embrace
slow dance of passion
we could be like bats
hang up our hats
and sleep until the sun
does set, to dance again
Oh, how my thoughts swim
with visions of lithe Miss Intrigue
dancing lovely on the floor
to be honest, I must confess
I would do my best to undress
such a lovely woman
for to be close and closer still
would be such a wonderful thrill:heart: :rose: :rose:

The World is Mine

Today, upon a bus, I saw a very beautiful woman
And wished I were as beautiful
When suddenly she rose to leave, I saw her hobble down the aisle.
She had one leg and wore a crutch.
But as she passed, she passed a smile.
Oh, God, forgive me when I whine.
I have two legs; the world is mine.

~~~~~~~
I stopped to buy some candy.
The lad who sold it had such charm.
I talked with him, he seemed so glad.
If I were late, it'd do no harm.
And as I left, he said to me, "I thank you,
you've been so kind.
It's nice to talk with folks like you.
You see," he said, "I'm blind."
Oh, God, forgive me when I whine.
I have two eyes; the world is mine.
~~~~~~~~~~~
Later while walking down the street,
I saw a child I knew.
He stood and watched the others play,
but he did not know what to do.
I stopped a moment and then I said,
"Why don't you join them dear?"
He looked ahead without a word.
I forgot, he couldn't hear.
Oh, God, forgive me when I whine.
I have two ears; the world is mine.

~~~~~~~~~
With feet to take me where I'd go.
With eyes to see the sunset's glow.
With ears to hear what I'd know.
Oh, God, forgive me when I whine.
I've been blessed indeed, the world is mine.
I love it, done_got_old. We too often forget what we have when caught up in the misery of our negative distortions.:) :rose:
I had this one approved about a week ago, and it's posted on my thread as well..I hope you enjoy
The time has come
I have embraced that which is me
I have spent so much on the run
I have taken so much to my here and now
I have never been so alone for so long
And enjoyed it this much
I have learned so greatly of me
As I look into a new day
I am exasperatingly me,
I say
