A friend once told me that she would rather have two desserts then spend two weeks in the desert. That's how she always remembered two "s"es in dessert and one in desert. I've found that it works well too.

She sound's like a wise friend! You'd do well to take her advice. Unless she advises you to have two desserts every mealtime. Clearly, that wouldn't be wise.

Oh, I can think of many ways! You could help me choose some new bed linen fr a start! (yes, there is a female influence... but even without I'd have ditched my Star Wars duvet cover ages ago!)

Ha! The fact that you know the term "duvet cover" (hey let's be honest I wouldn't put it past many men to know that) means that you probably don't need much help in the decorating dept!
