I don't accept responsibility for any crimes except those I have committed. Even for those, I try to avoid responsibility.
In this instance, avoiding responsibility might be the most socially responsible choice for both of us. The last thing our overcrowded prison system needs is for us to turn ourselves in.

If we were dangerous, it might be worth adding another cellblock. But I, for one, turned my back on a life of crime years ago. Specifically, it was when that truck swerved out of our path on I-10 and I realized we'd been heading west in the eastbound lane ever since Lubbock! You couldn't pay me to inhale another canister of that stuff without a designated driver.

This Karr guy is clearly several marbles short of a game of Chinese checkers.

Are you implying that he's a one fry short of a Happy Meal?

Oops. Never saw that one.

My quips are starting to get lame, so I'll stop now.

*blurt*

Nice sig, by the way. Thanatogenos, eh? "Born from death." How fitting.

Where did this leave off?

Let's see, visited a sex change clinic.

Sent emails telling of his love for this child.

Flying here on a luxury plane drinking Champagne and eating king sized prawns.

Hmmmmmmm?

Has anyone seen anything about Karr having mental problems (other than the obvious child molestation, of course)? That would totally ice it for me -

Fag Boy Child Molester who has his DNA on the national Sex Offender Registry (but they have to do another DNA test on him for some unknown reason, even though the Thais did it and no one will say if it matched) with insanity in his back ground whos x-wife claims he was 1000 miles away at the time of the murder turned in by a failing writer whos book on the murder skyrockets with the press releases of his involvement in fingering the murderer.

Yep... all fits together for me. We are talking about a Soap, right?

Apparently so... I haven't been following it at all- the whole case made me furious from the get go. Have you seen pictures of that kid? All dolled up like a call girl, adn her mother claiming she WANTED to do it, that it was her whole life? My kids like to dress up too, but they see it as a game- not a lifestyle.

I've seen them and they made me sick. Her mother, Patsey Ramsey, "former beauty queen" was reliving the only thing she ever did in her life through her kid. Has to make you kinda sick. There was a girl just like JonBenet with a mother just like Patsey in the neighborhood where I grew up. She's a crack Ho now.

Good lord. The arrival of the suspect's flight from Thailand was carried live on CNN.
Even locally, the half-dozen Miami children who've died this year in separate shooting incidents haven't generated this much curiosity.

Moral of the story: If you're a child killer and would prefer to keep things quiet, avoid blonde girls from well-to-do families. Even ten years after the murder, people will express an interest in what you had for dinner on the plane, and whether you weear make-up. If you value your privacy, choose a black or hispanic child from a lower-middle-class neighborhood. You'll be yesterday's news as soon as the funeral's over.

Sad, but true.

We are all equal. It is just that some of us are more equal than others.

He's not drinking champaigne today. He is in isolation in LA and will be arraigned tomorrow. I hope then we get to hear the charges that they are actually going to file against him.

Sad, but not entirely true. The saddest part is that this kind of thing happens at all. I believe that if the child had been the six year old daughter of a famous Black or Hispanic entertainer or athlete, the original story would have been comparable in its exosure. What made this such a big, ongoing story was the pictures and videotapes of the victim at pageants and the possibility that her parents were the killers.

I suspect Mark's confession is phoney. It only takes a couple days for DNA testing, and we hear nothing. I'd guess the match isn't there, which requires a more elaborate theory. Like the professor, he's a publicity seeker, feeding on the little girl's body. (yes, he is likely quite disturbed, possibly pedophile, etc.)
