From the Dawning of time to the present day world, people lived and loved for reasons. Reasons untold until time and place were ready. The Gods and Goddesses ruled the worlds from atop Mount Olympus...fought side by side at one time, then at each others throats another. Enemies grew within these walls, families torn asunder by greed, jealousy, and many other things. Some of the Gods and Goddesses choose one child each to grow and nuture under their watchful eyes but yet oblvious to their lineage.

One day they would be summoned to step up to their rightful place among the Gods and Goddesses, fight for what they were taught to believe in. Hidden in the forms of young adult males and females, placed together as childhood friends. Never fully understanding why they were close and why they relied so much on each other. Unknown to them they would eventually journey back to the place of their birth...open themselves to the gifts bestowed in them. They would choose to use them as they were meant to be used or remain among the world of the mortals and renouncing all that had been given to them.

This day, perched on the rocky outcrop overlooking the vast sea that gave him the peace and serenity that he searched for when he was troubled. Poseidon looked out over the crystal blue waters, the waves breaking against the solid rock, wearing more of it away to smooth stone. His trident held tightly in his right hand as his left stroked through his white beard. his crystal blue eyes unblinking as they gazed out over the water. It was time he had decided...time to call their children home. The unrest was growing around the world, civil wars and plagues breaking out. The banished Gods and Goddesses had begun their march upon the hapless mortals.

He along with 3 other Immortals had sent one of their children to Earth, centuries ago. Wiping their minds of who and what they were until they were called home. Their past memories had been planted, false images of happy families had been sunk deeply into their minds. The children had met and grown up together, close as any bond imaginable. Bonds that they couldn't explain,a closeness that noone had been unable to breach. Poseidon smiled to himself as he thought of his own daughter, knowing soon he would be able to wrap her in his arms and hug her close. Sad that he had to keep her memories of him hidden until it was time.

Poseiden stood and with a lift of his arm,his Trident flashing in the sunlight, the waves on the sea began to churn. Th animals of the deep answering to his call, the time had come for the young Immortals to come home. He raised his arms to the skies and with the few soft spoken words lifted some of the faded memories hidden from his daughter. Sending the true ones to her in the form of dreams. His voice was mixed with that of three other voices across the water..the other gods and Goddesses were calling out to their own. ( Continued next post)

Seraya Hamilton walked around the bedroom, her mind racing from the dream she had just had. She barely felt the plush carpet unnder her barefeet, her silver hair hung loose around her cherub face. Her Ice blue eyes blinking rapidly as if to chase the images away. her hand reached up to wrap around the dolphin necklace given to her at her last birthday. She stood and 5 foot 5 and was trim and fit. She had been a swimmer since she could remember, loving anything to do with the water.

She had been adopted as a small baby, not much about her real parents was known. She had loved her adoptive parents but always felt as if something was missing, something that had been partially filled when she became best friends with 3 others. A void had been filled by this friendship but something always seemed to be missing. She felt awkward around others, but with her friends she felt grounded. Like she belonged.

Tonight, the dream had come and confused her. She had seen a man,one who seemed to be wise beyond his looks. Someone who called out to her, telling her to come home. Home? She was home,a home she shared with her friends. She had left home when she turned 18 and now she felt scared truly for the first time in a long time. She felt the urge to leave, but to where? She was being told to come home..Home to where? She grumbled as she left her room and moved across the hall to the bathroom.

She flipped on the light and let herself try to relax, looking at her reflection int he mirror. She jerked back and then leaned closer to look into the mirror. Her eyes had changed to almost a silver, she blinked and looked away. Looking back her eyes were normal once more.."What the fuck?" She said to herself as she tried to get the color to change once more. She couldnt. She finally stepped away and turned on the shower, she had no clue why she was freaking out tonight. Sliding her gown from her body she stepped into the shower.

She let the water slide over her body as she began to wash herself. She sighed as the warm waters eased her muscles, then she cried out. The image of the man once more flashed across her mind, the washrag fell to the shower floor. She trembled as she lifted her hands slowly, they shook, but yet the water seemed to be dancing around her fingertips. It glistened over her skin as it wrapped around her hand first, then her arm. Finally she was wrapped in a curtain of water, water that seemed alive around her. She gasped and reached for the curtain, tripping as she did.

She fell to the floor and shook as she reached for a large towel. She wrapped it around herself as she flung open the door and rushed out into the hallway. She looked back over her shoulder as if whatever had just happened would follow her. Her eyes wide as she backed back into her room, closing and locking the door. Tonight had just gotten totally weird for her as she crawled under her blankets, pulling them tightly up around her chin. her hand seeking out her necklace once more. She lay there until far into the night, until sleep finally claimed her and no more dreams follwed this night. She would have felt a whisper soft touch along her cheek if she had been aawake..a touch gentle like one would get when being calmed.

The summoning had went out...the lives of 4 friends was about to drastically change from this night forward...

Skylar jerked awake, gasping for air. She'd been having this dream for weeks now but hadn't told anybody, not any of her closest of friends. She didn't want to seem crazy or psycho or anything. What was Sky supposed to say, 'oh hey guys I've been having this mega wierd dream where I live in the sky but its not really the sky its like...a land of its own' There was no way in hell they'd understand! Sighing, Sky stood up and stretched. She looked at herself in the mirror. She had long brown hair and brown eyes. In highschool, she was described as the most beautiful girl that every guy wanted. When she was a child her adoptive mother entered her in those child beauty pageants. Naturally, Sky won.

One could even say despite the fact that she was gorgeous, intelligent, and every on the planet seemed to want her. She didn't feel like she belonged at least...not here. There were only two times she felt like she belonged was when she was with her best friends whom she'd known ever since she was a little girl; they'd met when they were living in a foster home and still managed to keep in touch. They had even convinced their parents to let them go to the same school. The second time she felt comfortable was in that dream, however that was a different comfortable, it was like...she was home which was crazy. She didn't even know her mother! Her mother had left no pictures or any sort of keepsake for her to have.

"The mall, must go to the mall..." Sky muttered to herself as she stumbled to her closet. Sky was the sort of girl who loved anything that had to do with beauty, this included but was not limited to clothes, the mall, fashion magazines, etc. If it was beautiful, Skylar loved it. That day, Sky spent the whole day shopping instead of spending the day with Sereya as she was planning to do. Sereya was supposed to call her but hadn't and Sky wasn't the type of woman to beg for company.

That evening, Sky tried on different outfits. There was supposed to be a costume contest this weekend at one of the dorm parties. She was planning as going as the goddess Aphrodite, because everyone said she was as gorgeous as a goddess; well mainly the guys said that. Sky tried on her Aphrodite costume and smiled, "Looks good, wonder what the guys would think..." she said with a smile before laying on the couch. Sleep slowly drifted upon her.

It is time to return home, goddess of love

Cael woke, or at least he felt like he woke up, because he wasn't in his bed, or in a bed for that matter. As he stood up he looked around and noticed he was in the middle of a red desert, and in it there were two armies about to meet.

He realized he had on a black armor and bracers, and even a heavy sword on his hand. He was trying to figure out what to do... or how to really wake up when three soldiers charged at him. Before he could think an unknown instinct took over and he jumped to meet the first one slashing him with the sword and in the same strike stopping the attack of the second one. He pushed this one back with his sword and kicked the third one away, giving himself time to finish them both one at the time.

After the third soldier fell to the ground, and Cael was starting to regain some sort of composture the battlefield dissapeared. He was starting to get used to weird dreams, but up until that point he had been watching battles from far away, almost from the viewpoint of an eagle, and had some weird insight as to how "his" army should attack. This time he was fighting, when the battlefield dissapeared a very regal commanding voice spoke.

"I had to make sure first, you are indeed my son Cael. Come take your place next to Ares the God of War!"

Then Cael really woke up, that was a very twisted dream. He felt the urge to talk about it, actually not talk about it to anyone, something deep inside him told him that he could only talk about it to his friends... after all anybody else would think he was losing it anyway.

"God of war pfft", he thought, "that is a videogame..." but why the dream felt so real was beyond him, not only real but in those dreams wether commanding the forces or fighting, even when the voice talked to him, he felt like he belonged, like he was at home.

He put his mind at ease for now, it was the middle of the night, he couldn't go wake any of them to talk, he felt the need to review his life as if an answer could be there.

Up until he met his 3 friends he had been mostly a self-proclaimed outcast, his adoptive parents were afraid of a kid that was developing so early phisically and was very quiet, he didn't particularly like them, which made his first years very lonely.

With his friends life had become easier they seemed to complement each other perfectly, and being good at sports and always around of the two most beautiful girls in school certainly didn't hurt his social life either, yet there was always that nagging feeling that nobody but his friends could understand him or connect to him.

After this run through his mind he once more started to fall asleep, wondering what kind of war he would end up at now.

It would be a very odd sight to someone, frightening even, if they could see An now. A lonesome figure, standing atop a two storey buidling, poised to jump on the sidewalk.

An hesitated. What if he was wrong ? He didn't want to end up with a broken limb. More than the pain, the thought of being dependent on others stopped him. He had been sure that he could do this easily while slipping out of the house a few minutes ago. But looking at the sidewalk, he was not so sure. Although he wouldn't admit this to anyone, his old fear of heights flared up again. He believed that his fear would also be forgotten if he could soar like an eagle over the sleeping city below.

He had pictured himself flying over back to his window, and the thought that he might actually have to climb to it as usual made him mad. Ever since he had woken up a few days ago and found himself floating above his bed for a few seconds he had been desperate to fly. But even though he had tried everything, he had been unable to lift his 6' frame above the ground in anything resembling a flight. Each passing day without flight lent credence to the doubt in his mind that it had been his imagination that morning getting the better of his sleepy senses.

He would have dismissed it as his imagination on that day itself, if not for his secret. An had never told about it to anyone- neither to his adoptive parents, nor to his closest childhood friends. Although he felt closest to his friends than anyone else in the world, he would not tell them. An told himself that this was to protect himself and them but in reality it was because he himself thought that his power was not something extremely special. Sure he could make it rain and snow, but it was limited to his immediate surroundings. And what if after he told his friends, he couldn't dispay his powers. If telling them jinxed it somehow ? He would die before becoming the laughing stock of his friends, Sky Seraya and Cael.

An raised his left palm to his side and dropped it. He let go of his keenly attuned sense of the weather around him. The sheet of fog surrounding the building dropped with his movement. Now he could concentrate fully on not hiiting the hard pavement. He almost willed someone to notice the sudden change but the street was deserted. He had never tried from this height before, and he had promised himself that this was the last try before getting the idea out of his head.

Closing his blue eyes, An jumped.

An had thought that his life would flash before his eyes. Instead, he saw a mountain, higher than the sky itself. A blinding flash, and then the thunder in his ears. A man...no .... a giant, disembodied, but his voice booming like the thunder.
Although the time is here, you are too impatient my son.

Even though his eyes were closed, An landed on his feet. This alone amazed him. Not to mention the strange dream he had on the way down. He looked up and saw a flash of lightning. Strange. It wasn't the weather for it nor had he himself been responsible for it. His disappointment at not being able to fly was quickly overshadowed by the questions about his dream.

An decided that everything will have to wait. It was going to be dawn soon, and he didn't want his parents to wake up to find him missing. They were early risers. Quickly, but quietly, he made his way back to his house and to his window. Only after safely climbing back into his bed did he allow a lightning to crackle in the gloomy sky. Just to check everthing is working allright, he told himself.

Finally sleep came over him, bringing with it more dreams about mountains and old men with lightening and thunder.

Seraya lie there, curled up under the covers on her bed. She tried to hide from the coming new day,the brightness of the morning sun fighting its way into her room. She pulled the covers tighter over her head, she shivered as she tried to shake the images from her dream the night beofre. Had she really made the water in her shower move like it was part of her? Had she really been told she was the daughter of Poseidon?

Sure the earliest memories she could recall were those of her youth, even those were hazy at times. She tried to tell herself she was just imagining things. She tossed the covers from her body and slid from the bed. She looked at her cell phone...6:45 am. The others would still be in bed,Skylar didnt have a class until 8 am with her,the guys had different schedules. She wondered if they would laugh at her or maybe they were having strange dreams too. She quickly sent off a text to the others and told them she was ditching school today and if they all could meet at the pier around 6pm.

She chewed her lip as she hit the send button and then trudged off to take a shower. Once in the bathroom she hesitated, her hand hovering just over the water faucet. She was afraid to turn the water on..then shaking her head she turned the water to fully blast. It sounded louder than usual as she pulled her nightshirt off and stepped into the hot surge. She closed her eyes and tried to relax as the water cascaded over her body. Opening her eyes she became curious...

She held out her hand..focusing on the water flowing over it...then it seemed to vibrate and move on her open palm. she moved her hand slightly and the water turned into a ball..her eyes went wider as with each move she made it roll and dance. She let out a soft cry and stepped back, the water ball burst and returned to the normal shower spray. She hurried and stepped out of the shower, drying herself quickly. She had come to the conclusion she was going crazy, the voices she now could hear in her head telling her it was time to come home wasjust her losing it.Sh pulled on a pair of shorts and a teeshirt and curled up on the couch, wrapping herself in the afghan she pulled form the back, trying to hide from the world for now.

Sky's eyes fluttered open, that soft voice still echoed in her mind. The daughter of Aphrodite? That was just too surreal! She could never picture herself as the daughter of a goddess. It was just crazy, glancing over at her clock it was precisely, 7:00 in the morning. Her class was at 9 in the morning but she always went to starbucks. She had to have her morning coffee, that was a must!

Sky thought about telling her friends. What would they think? Would they laugh? Call her crazy? No, they were her friends. If anything they'd laugh it off and just tell her it was a dream. The fact of the matter was she needed someone to talk about it to or Sky was going to go absolutely crazy!

Sky climbed out of bed and walked into the bathroom. She got undressed and took a shower before stepping out. As she looked in the mirror, she tilted her head to the side. It almost seemed like she had this...unnatural glow about her this morning. It was kind of wierd. Sky decided to blame it on the sunlight possibly coming from the window.

With a determined nod, Sky wrapped a towel around her body and walked towards her closet and pulled out a red blouse, gold belt and black leggings.

She grabbed her phone just as she headed out of the door and looked at it as it blinked. "Oh, text message!" She said, flipping her phone open. It was from Raya, telling her that she was ditching school and if she wanted to meet up. 'Sure, let me grab some coffee and i'll be at your dorm in a few. You okay?' she hit send then headed down to Starbucks which was right across the street from the campus.

Once she got in line she had to wait two to three minutes. She sighed, tapping her foot. They were taking much longer then they normally did.

"LISTEN, YOU ASSHOLE; I ORDERED THE REDUCED FAT TURKEY BACON ENGLISH MUFFIN, NOT JUST THE EGG ENGLISH MUFFIN. Fucking Idiots!"

"I'm sorry maam we made a mistake."

"Damn straight you made a mistake. I swear to god, if you don't fix this then--"

"Maam could you please calm down?"

"No, no I will NOT calm down."

Sky wasn't sure why she walked up to the counter but she did. She had this instinct that maybe, just maybe she could help them out. "Excuse me? Maam, it's really early. Everyone makes mistakes. I've been to this Starbucks a ton of times. If you give them a chance I'm sure they can get your breakfast sandwhich." Sky gave her a dazzling smile and it almost seemed as if the world suddenly stopped.

"You're right. I'm sorry, m-my boyfriend he just broke up with me and I guess I'm a little on edge." the girl said.

Sky blinked, well that was weird. That had never actually happened before. Hurriedly, she ordered her macchiato and then rushed over to Raya's dorm, knocking on the door.

Cael was suddenly pushed out of his last battlefield when he heard his phone go off, it was a simple text message, it was true that those woke him, but not usually like this, either the dream was cooperating with the text message... or he was becoming more alert of his surroundings, even while sleeping.

He shook away those weird thoughts and grabbed the phone, after noting it was
from Seraya he pondered this. He was mostly off that day, just a few things that he could take care off in the morning, and Seraya wasn't the only one that needed to talk to them.

He answered her "How about earlier? can we meet for lunch?"

He got naked and stepped into the shower, putting the water as hot as it could be, figuring that would wake him up, it certainly made him feel better. As he was to get dressed he found himself assesing something weird... the protective properties of his clothes, which of course weren't many being normal clothes, to sort of satisfy this new necessity he put on a jean jacket that had some sort of advantage over the rest, considering that something heavier would restrict his movility. He decided to go out before he would become crazy enough to scan his place for a makeshift weapon.

As he was walking he heard a tingling. He turned and saw nobody around, out of nowhere a golden necklace http://thegoldjewelry.com/images/Charms/yellow-gold-neptunes-trident-pendant.jpg Seraya, he thought as he touched it, and for some reason figured it was for her.

Moments later the same happened, he heard another tingling, still nobody was around, this necklace was different though http://www.fredala.com/ProductImages/j/mroy/seesummer/seesummer04_bg.jpg and he thought Sky when he touched it. Well his craziness seemed to strike him when he was awake too, at least now he was finding gifts.

An got up early. The questions from last night still swirled in his head.

Since his parents lived nearby, he would visit them once a while, sometimes even spend the night like last night. Since his 'flying' had happened in his old bedroom, he thought that maybe it had something to do with the house. That was the reason why he had been spending more time at his parents' lately than in his own apartment.

'My son' , the voice had called him. Surely that meant his real dad. An had always known that he was the son of someone special due to his powers. And even though his adoptive parents loved him like his own, he had never felt really close to them.

As he ran out of the house after giving his parents some lame excuse about an early assignment, he hailed a cab back to his apartment. Wouldn't it be nice to save on cab fare by flying , he was wondering as the short ride finished and he was in his apartment once more.

No more thoughts about flying
. He chided himself. Yesterday was supposed to be the last try and he was done with filling his head with foolish ideas of flight. Instead he filled it with speculating who his real dad was.

By another hour he was sure that he was the last son of a long lost planet, sent to earth to be his savior by his dad, before his home planet was destroyed. That is until his eyes met the superman tshirt lying crumpled on his bed and smiled to himself. Shaking his head, he got into the shower.

Stepping out, he picked up his phone and read the message from Seraya. He was immediately tempted to ditch school too. An felt closer to his friends than anyone else. The only reason he went to school was to be with them. What uses were the classes to him when he already knew how to control the weather ?

Donning the crumpled superman tee with his jeans, he moved out of his apartment. Having no doubt in his mind that everyone is always happy to be with An, he decided to pay Seraya a surprise visit, not bothering to send a text or call. Sending a text to Cael to let him know not to expect him in class, he made his way to Seraya's.
