He grinned, the stupid clone was appearently satisfied. He turned back to the task at hand. Then, suddenly, he noticed someone was trying to communicate with them. He reached over, and killed the connection.
He smiled, and turned back to driving. They'd stopped. Weaselly accelerated even more. Either they'd attack, or he'd ram them. Either way, he'd get what he wanted...
He decelerated the speed at such a rate that both Humes and the Dredd clone, since they weren't strapped in, were uprooted by inertia and thrown towards the front of the vehicle.
It slowwed quickly, and then turned, coming to rest at a ninety-degree angle from it's origional heading. 'Take that, you egotisticial bastard. Hope that ripped your nuts off,' he thought, eyes closed as he adjusted to the adrenaline rush.
He opened his eyes, and began to laugh wildly as he saw the position the two had ended up in. He coved his face with his hands, trying to end the fit of mirth. "Slow enough for you, sir?"
Then, as it would normally do, it tries to establish the Link with the female...
You do interest me but if I were you I would not try to establish a mind link with me at this time or you will get more than you bargained for.
"It would not be in your best interests to be found right now would it?"
In an instant, the Dredd clone is up on his feet and has Weaselly by the neck.
"You're going down, Creep!" he snarls.
"No!" shouts Humes, still pulling himself up. "He's not to be hurt. Yet!"
The clone relaxes his grip but does not let go while Humes slides into the driver's seat.
"I must admit, Weaselly. I am very disappointed with you. When this is all over, I will have to let the Specialists look at you."
Pulling the vehicle to a stop, he then notices that the radio has been switched off. Switching on, a voice immediately booms through: "This is Judge Dredd! Identify yourselves immediately!"
"Weaselly!" Humes spits, giving him a baleful stare...
He began to laugh wildly, and taking the Dredd Clone by surprise, he covered the clone's ears, disconnecting him from Hume's orders. He turned to Humes, and laughed crazilly, then began to shout at the radio.
"C'mon Dredd! Let's see what you've got! It's your favorite fan club! Come and get us!"
Humes raced to cut off the connection, but it was too late. Weaselly braced his feet against the Dredd clone's chest, and looked over at Humes.
"You never could control the origional. And you needed my intelligence. But did you really think you could ever control me? It's a laugh. If it wasn't for your pitiful attempts to make me a braindead servent like muscle-boy here, I'd have finished what my creator started. And you,...you'd be dead."
He let go of the clone, and knocked his hands away, kicking off with his feet. He hit the floor on hands and feet and was running before Humes could say a word. He clamped his hands over his ears, protecting himself from orders. He raced around to the hatch, and leapt from the vehicle, running towards the Landraider.
"Help! Help!" Hey, it was worth a shot. What was the worst that could happen? At the very least he'd die still thinking Humes would be killed...
Deciding not to proceed with the Link, Zcorr instead goes, leaving the unconscious Inci to the mercy of the hybrid...
"He thinks that I will eat the unconscious Woman Inci" he knows very little of me I do not eat People!
"I turn my Telepathy towards Zcorr do not touch the barn door"the circuit has just been completed to keep me inside!
I give Zcorr an intensified flash of pain.
I bend down and pick up The Woman Inci who is still unconscious and take her back farther into The Barn where I lay her down so that I can open The Trap Door of My Spaceship!"
The Dredd clone is instantly and is about to pursue Weaselly when Humes stops him.
"Leave him!"
Confused, the clone turns back towards Humes.
"You're letting the creep get away?"
"Not at all. In fact this has gone rather well." smiles Humes, deviously. "Part of this exercise was to find out who was the weak link. The possible culprit for why our little scheme of taking over Mega-City One failed. Mr Weaselly has clearly demonstrated that he could be that culprit. At the very least he is not to be trusted."
"So what are we going to do? Just let the creep go?" snarls Dredd's clone.
"Not at all, my dear fellow." Humes smiles. "I was going to suggest that you active one of our Assassinator droids to kill him before he gets to Dredd. But I want it done...very painfully!"...
The Assassinator droid glared at the Judge bot. It stopped firing at the target, and appraised this new threat. It began firing at the other robot as it dodged behind a large rock just off to the side.
"Hsss! Curssse you!" it hisses and immediately turns and springs at her...
As Zcorr springs at me I use My Mind Power to push him away from me!
I make a jesture with my Mind & Hands and I put a force field around myself as I start my transformation into a Fighting Dragon that happens every night.
I use My Telepathy fool if I had wanted to kill you it would have been very easy for me to do so!
All that I was trying to do was warn you how dangerous it was to touch that door I have exscaped so many times that they have Electrified The Barn Door!
It cannot believe what is happening as it moves away from the transforming human.
When the transformation is complete, Zcorr can only look on the new form with awe and fear!...
As My Transformation into a Fighting Dragon is completed I make a quick movement of my hand disolving my force field!
"I look at Zcorr with amusement as I see The Fear in his eyes"I say you have no reason to Fear me!
I am not going into Battle against you but for The Woman that saved My Life she gave me Love when I was very ill and asked for nothing in return for herself and you have seen how she has been treated by her own people!
"Introguing! A Mechanismo robot. A Mark 2A I believe." Humes says, watching the screen with interest. "I hear that they are quite tough. It will be interesting to see how it fares against my Assassinator. Instruct it to attack."
"It's already doing so. It's already programmed to defend itself against a potential hostle force." replies the Dredd clone.
"Pah! I want it to do more than simply defend itself! I want the Judge robot destroyed - utterly."
The clone issues fresh instructions to the main computer controlling the Assassinator.
"It's done, Sir. The Assassinator is now programmed to destroy the Mechanismo robot." he says finally.
"Excellent!"
"And Weaselly?" asks the clone.
"Oh! I almost forgot about him. Send out another Assassinator to pick him up."
"Not to execute him?"
"No." decides Humes. "I want him alive - for the time being."
A second Assassinator emerges, heading for the stricken Weaselly. Leaving its twin to deal with the Judge robot...
"They are have sent out another Assassinator." reports Samson.
"To pick up their fugitive." observes Dredd. "Hardsteen. Come about. We are going after him. He's obviously important. I want to know why!"
"Sir?" ask Samson.
"We have just happened to encounter someone who happen to use Assassinator droids. Coincidence? I think not. My hunch is that these creeps are here to break Selina out. Who knows? Maybe Humes is onboard that tank? I intend to find out!"
Hardsteen turns the Landraider and makes for the fleeing Weaselly...
He was up on his feet again, and once again began running towards the Landraider. "Drokk-Drokk-Drokk-Drokk-Drokk-Drokk-Drokk!!"
Luckilly, he was out of Hume's presence enough to allow himself to get out of the terrible posture that made him look like a rodent, and was running like no one's business.
He just ran. Towards the Judges. Why the Grud not? There was a better chance of living that way....
