Junk Mail Love Letter

Inspired by a classic Charlie Brown cartoon where Peppermint Patty arrives home from summer camp ad askes Charlie if he liked her love letter- the one on pink stationary that Chuck threw out because he thought it was junk mail.

To update it, it could be the email that went to spam.

Imagine adults instead of Peanuts chracters. what would ensue from the moment of horroer and embarassment?

From the title I was thinking something more like this...

Someone sends out a mass mailing (junk mail) of well crafted love letters (sort of like a message in a bottle). The sender is hoping that a particular person that he/she has only seen in passing will take the letter to heart and seek him/her out.

Most of them get ignored, but some have unintended consequences, but...
1. A few of the letters cause problems in marriages because one spouse thinks the letter is real and accuses the other of cheating
2. For some a spouse/boyfriend/girlfriend claims they wrote the letter hoping to fix their relationship, but they aren't romantic enough to actually follow through.
3 Lonely people seek out the letters creator hoping for a relationship, but none of them are the person he/she intended to get a response from.

The story could be about the unintended consequences while weaving the creator of the letters successes and failures in meeting the person he/she was hoping to meet.

I'm trying to imagine a scenario where the local mailman decides he knows best about who should be wooing whom, so he redirects the love letters to encourage the couplings that he approves of and discourages the ones he does not.

It could be a reverse-spam, where the Wealthy Nigerian Prince or the Hot Milfs In Your City are real, and desperately trying to make a connection, but nobody ever responds to their offers!
