nah I believe it, at a new job you gotta impress them before you start kicking back and honestly, we both know you were bored at the last job, you spent more time here than actually working LOL

Very true on all accounts and I see many places where improvement can be made at new job and they are giving me the opportunity to make those improvements.

You made it through Halloween at scool? One kid, 3rd grader, asked my asked his teacher if she wanted to know what his imaginary friend's costume was?

We don't do much at school to celebrate holidays.. too many kids of religions that don't celebrate them. My class wrote limericks.. Hallloween if you could or Autumn if you didn't do Halloween. Then they did a quick cut out of a witch hat, ghost or leaf, and glued the poem to the shape.. on the way out the door, a couple of kids brought stuff to share and I brougt in a bag of candy, so they got handed one of each with repeated reminders to open and eat it at home

It is tomorrow after they have been up half the night sick from all the candy they ate that will be the pain. Some will be out, some will be in the bathroom half the day and some will be reved up or sleepy. Halloween needs to be the last Friday or Sat of the month and forget the actual date lol

I would have asked also, not only would it be from curiousity but because the child so wanted to share the information to see if the teacher would accept the imaginary friend.

I agree, my wife was trying to get him aside all day to ask LOL

No increase in salary, but just hopefully will head that way

We went for a long weekend to St. Pete's Fl. had great weather and a wonderful time

My funny kid story took place last week. We were talking about the effects of tobacco use on the respiratory system. One of the boys said that his father used a lot of tobacco. I said that I imagined that many parents did. The boy responded with Yes, my dad puts that sauce on all sorts of food.

I of course fell apart laughing as I tried to explain his error. lol

it is definitely one of those stories I won't forget.. lol


similar to one that happened about 25 years ago. We were discussing drugs and how people add things like sugar and flour to the drugs to make the real drugs spread out futher so you can get more profit. One of the limited English Spanish speaking boys said.. sometimes they use ahax.

I said, Ahax? The boy said.. yeah you know like you use for cleaning sinks with...

We've had but one conversation in that vein, chose to let her know how it made us feel, never looked for explanation. I'm guessing it will come out in time. The split with her roomate was not great and I am guessing we are not through. For now, we are happy to have her around. She is distancing herself from some "friends" which is good but we know is hard, trying to be supportive but not over power our advice

Hi Joey I lost "LIT"....had serious problems. Could log on and watch you all playing, but couldn't post (Had a serious "Blonde" moment, well couple of days actually)....but then I figured it out.....and so I'm back
