Good news! The computer is working again, and I can do all sorts of fun things with it. Camera is still iffy but I did manage to get some pictures downloaded. I'm not sure why it recognizes the camera sometimes, and not others, but I imagine that this is my computer's way of telling me to either get a new camera, or to get a new USB cable.

Of course, I lost all the pictures that I've posted, and all the really nasty ones that I didn't post, along with those of family and friends. And I lost my database of every book I own, but it will feed my anal retentive sense of order to recreate it, so that's not all bad. It's just the pictures that upsets me! And the AVs.... I have no more AVs! Just the one that is here.
