Just one Line.

"I've killed n the name of my country, in self-defense, for revenge, and for money," Nicole brought up the .45 and pressed it to Lucian's forehead. "But never once, did I kill for pleasure." She pulled the trigger. "Until now."

And I would drink a tea of shaman's mushrooms, and lie down and fall gently into my final sleep, there beneath the gentle leaves that would be rustling in the midsummer breeze. I was done with this world of pain, where all that it seemed I would ever achieve was to see those I loved slip through my fingers.

Someone sent me props about my story and that they liked this line a lot:

“I was battling many emotions, so many feelings between creeping jealousy and pure lust. But as evidenced by the deeply veined hard-on that extended out from the top of my shorts, its inflamed head dripping a pool of pre-cum into my navel, the feeling of lust had won out.“

“Al, I’d invite you and your companion in, but I know y’all didn’t come all this way just to admire my interior decorating skills.”

Lol. Just roll with it

This from a work-in-progress story about a young girl raised on a dairy farm who is now in her first year of college, working toward a degree in Veterinary Medicine.

"And the words of my dad that had been seared into my brain and work ethic were always with me, ‘If you’re going to do something, it only takes a little extra effort to do it right’."

From "Flesh 4 Fantasy", on naming a kitten:

"We settled on the name Devana. Mel wanted Raurri, after a cat-woman in a story she was reading, but I knew the story. If people asked where the name came from, I wasn't going to explain that my girlfriend had a thing about online erotica."

(If you know, you know.)

From a current work in progress describing the main character, an uber-wealthy fellow:

"But beneath his polished facade was a subtle flaw, not like a delicate craze in a prized whiskey glass but a deeper scratch that got it tossed aside as useless."

Just one more from the same story about his hot young wife:

"She barely held his attention; Assol was a beautiful jewelry piece to be attached to his arm and impress his admirers, like the brief glimmer of a gold cufflink."

"We have what men want, they're willing to pay for it, and we both get what we need, why is that a problem?"

"I do have a thing for bad girls," Nicole said with a flirty smile.
"You haven't had bad until you have the worst," Abigail touched her chest with the bloody tip of the knife. "That would be me."

A few weeks ago we had a writing exercise with the prompt "There's a demon under my bed." I'm turning my snippet into a proper story - nearly 3k words in now - that I'll probably save for the Pandemonium event. But here's a line from it, as the demon describes its fall from being an angel:
“That’s how it always ended, after that. With me spanking her. To clear away her guilt.” It squeezed its eyes shut. “But what about mine? What about my guilt?”
Luckily my narrator offers to help...

For an insecure girl like Sydney, her boyfriend’s idiot savant level of gaslighting created the kind of irrational attachment one usually sees in science experiments involving wire monkeys.

Her words were whiskey-soaked, maybe a little raspy from tobacco indulgence somewhere along the line, the kind of voice that Greg Allman’s mother would have had.
