Just Peachy (Closed for Jadeknight)

He held the bottle carefully throughout the whole process, making sure not a drop was wasted. After all, this was valuable milk in a sense, coming from royalty. Well, she had been royalty before, but he felt she could earn that status back with time. After all, it was all a matter of perception.

"Feeling better now?"

He wrapped his arms around her once more as she leaned against him. His claws went back to gently scratch up and down her back and neck. He rested his chin gently on her head for a few moments before pulling it away.

He lifted one of his hands to her chin and tilted it up gently so he could look down at her for a few moments. He lowered his head and ran his tongue lightly over her lips before kissing her softly.

"Yes, that's much better. I never knew how uncomfortable or even painful it can be to have my breasts too full of milk," she answered, sighing and closing her eyes again as she felt him resume his comforting scratching, the nice weight of his head resting on hers before she felt him pull back from her a bit.

She felt his hand on her chin and before she knew it he had lifted her face, causing her to open her eyes and meet with his as he looked back at her. Peach wondered what he was thinking behind those intelligent red eyes. She wondered if it was lonely living for so long around mortals that passed away long before he himself would succumb to the ravages of time.

The princess then realized that while she was lost in thought, he had gotten close to her, his tongue coming out to run along her lips before he kissed her. Her body tensed for a moment before relaxing again, his strong warm arms wrapped around her and the feeling of his lips carrying her away a bit. It was odd, she felt like there was a small part of her that was being muffled. Like walking into a ballroom with cotton in one's ears. She couldn't hear the warning bells, nor the part of her that would have roughly shoved him away. At that moment, Peach was only the part of herself that was vulnerable.

He didn't do anything beyond just kissing her at that point. He merely held the kiss for a few moments before gently releasing it. He shifted on the bed before laying down on the bed. He pulled her gently down beside him, wrapping his arms around her.

He didn't want to rush her into anything yet, as she did seem to be a bit tense about the whole pregnancy at the moment. After all, he was trying to woo her over to him, even if he was cheating a little bit to do so. One of his wings whifted from beind him before wrapping gently around her as well.

Peach watched him scoot down into a laying position after breaking the kiss, wondering what he was doing. It seemed almost uncharacteristic of him to be leaving her alone rather than forcing what he wanted on her. As he pulled her down next to him and held her in his arms, she realized that he wanted to cuddle with her like lovers would.

She relaxed in his arms, seeing his wing extend to wrap around her too, holding her body snugly against his firmly but not forcefully. Her breasts pushed a bit against his chest as she laid against his body. Unlike most reptiles, his body was warm as though he had a flame within his belly that kept his cold blood warm.

Soon the princess rested her head, aware of the fact that she was mostly naked. However, it felt more natural than lewd and she wondered if that was how he felt all the time.

He didn't say anything as he continued to cuddle with her. It was nice to just hold her, something that he figured Bowsette probably wouldn't do. Though he couldn't be too sure about that.

Instead, he reached up and gently stroked his claws gently up and down her cheeks as he looked down at her. Though he wouldn't admit it to himself, it was nice to have company after being alone for so long. Even if the whole thing was forced, it was something for the time being.

Peach hesitantly put her arm around him once more, shifting so that she was laying a little closer to him as he stroked her cheek. She really thought he was a carnal beast, so this soft side made her curious and less guarded. The feeling of his gentle fingers across her skin made her feel so at home, she felt like she could almost fall asleep in his arms.

It was quiet between them, but it was not an uncomfortable silence. Rather, it was filled with the sounds of them breathing softly and finding comfort from one another's bodies.

"Ragnar..." she whispered softly, "do you have any family? Anyone that visits you? What do you do to mark the passage of time?"

He pursed for a moment as he thought about her question, nodding after a few moments.

"I do have family, but I have not seen them in a long time. Dragons don't always stay together in family units. I haven't seen any of my family in many, many years."

He gave a little chuckle when she asked about how he marked the passage of his birthdays. He reached up and laid a hand against her cheek, his claws gently stroking over her skin.

"I used to, although it was mostly from the villagers. I wasn't always the ruler here, but I did roost in the nearby swamp. The villagers that lived near the swamp had decided to do yearly sacrifices of a virgin to apease me from doing any harm to them. By coincidence, it happened to fall on the day I had hatched. That stopped when I decided to take this city as my own a hundred years ago. I really don't do anything to mark the passage of time anymore."

Peach nodded solemnly as he talked about his family, thinking to herself that it was a shame that he didn’t see them more often.

His gentle hand in her cheek was met with a soft sigh from her. She had forgotten how good it felt to be close to another person. It felt good to have his claw tenderly stroke her cheek; it felt so intimate and affectionate. For a moment she felt her heart flutter as she looked at him, and she looked away from him for a moment.

Her eyes looked back at him, opened wide as he mentioned the villagers sacrificing virgins to him. “That’s awful! I’m sure there were other ways they could have shown their reverence for you.” She shook her head disapprovingly.

“If you don’t mark the passage of time, then what do you live for?” She was very curious about this, wondering what he could possibly live for in such a lonely life. It wasn’t as though he had a dragon family that he knew wouldn’t die before a century.

He chuckled softly for a moment at her remark about the virgins.

"I didn't come up with that rule. I just decided not to correct them about it."

He thought for a moment before answering.

"The same things every dragon lives for, thirst for knowledge, power, and treasure. True, sometimes it does get boring at living such a long life, but I do seek out new things to amuse me. What about you my princess?"

"Did you... eat them?" Peach asked worriedly, not sure if she wanted to know the answer. She could imagine his large teeth tearing at a woman's soft flesh as he consumed her meat. The image sickened her and made her want to cringe. To her, it would have been more honorable to correct the villagers on it, but it was the villagers doing it in the first place, so she didn't place much blame on him.

She let out a thoughtful, "Hm." when he answered. "Well... I wanted to become queen. Not because the title really holds any worth to me, but because I thought that I could be a just ruler and govern my land into a new era of peace and prosperity. I had been given the opportunity to enact change since I was born into a position of power, so why not use it as best as I can?"

The princess shifted a little in his arms, her eyes drifting away as though she were imagining some far-off future. "I wanted to have a family. Maybe a dashing prince or a commoner who won my heart. I wanted to have and raise my children to respect each person regardless of status..." Peach sighed a little wistfully. "I'm not sure any of that will come to pass the way I want it. My purpose in life right now is just to keep going until I find my new purpose."

He laughed for a moment at her question of eating the women, shaking his head.

"No, I didn't eat them. I merely kept them around for a short while to do chores and the like before sending them back home."

He nodded silently as he listened to her tell of her life before him. He could understand where she was coming from, as he knew most humans were greedy for more power over their own kind. Most of the time they got their way, in some form or fashion. Royalty was just for the luckiest, and even they fell as well.

"Don't fret over it. While you may at your lowest point of your life, it while always find a way of getting better. Perhaps you will raise to that queen status and rule as you so desire soon enough."

She looked a little embarrassed for assuming that he might eat a virgin woman if sacrificed to him. Now that he had explained, the idea of him doing such a thing seemed rather silly. Peach did wonder if he had taken the liberty of removing their virgin status as he had done with herself. She would never ask that about him, though, as she didn't really want to know.

Princess Peach sighed, completely misinterpreting what he had been suggesting. "That won't happen unless I'm able to go home, and I don't see that happening anytime soon. I can't help but think about it. What are my people doing back home? What will happen with the kingdom without me? I'm not so arrogant to think that I can't be replaced, but I had expected to be able to do some significant good."

She shook her head, thinking about the beautiful mushroom kingdom. Princess Peach wondered how Bowsette's forces were doing without her. She hoped that they weren't simply running around creating chaos now that they had no orders or directions.

He chuckled softly as he noticed how she seemed to not catch the meaning of his words. She was quite hung up on the fact she was away from home. He couldn't fault her for that, but he did want her to cheer up.

"Things might be chaos for you, but things will settle down. Just concentrate on the good things. Bad things always happen, but things won't get better if you only worry all the time."

“I wish I had Bowsette’s resiliency. She seems to be getting along just fine here.” Peach thought about it for a moment and rested her head against his chest, quietly thinking to herself that it was one area in which Bowsette was unmatched. She was so willing to accept what came to her with bravery and excitement. Peach was stuck in her ways and was resistant to change a lot of the time.

“I know, I know... I’ll try not to worry so much.” Peach grumbled. “Why I’m taking advice from a man who can turn into a house-sized Fire-breathing lizard, I have no idea... I bet problems come to you, scream, and run away.”

He chuckled softly, his chest rumbling a little.

"I've seen her type. Though she is quite strong, there is something deep when that will make her cry and pout. It's buried, but there."

His claws start to gently scratch along the back of her head as he closed his eyes for a moment. He gives a laugh for a moment at her observation.

"That is true for most things. However, there will always be those that will try to stand up to me, such as other dragons, or some foolish 'heroes' trying to make a name for themselves."

“Hm.” She acknowledged his comment about Bowsette. Her eyes closed as well as he scratched her head, simply feeling his warm body against hers. She found that she liked the way his chest rumbled and vibrates when he would laugh.

“How often does that even happen, though.” She said incredulously. His name must have been prominent seeing as though he had his own castle and pile of gold. Why would any human try to defeat him? They would do better to run away. A dragon, though...

“Wouldn’t other dragons keep to their own lands?” She asked curiously.

He laughed for a moment, shaking his head.

"No, there is no guarantee of that. It all depends on the age of the dragon and their greed. Some are content to stay with what they have, when they are adult and older. There are a couple of older dragons nearby, but their ways are more seeking of knowledge than anything else. There is one dragon younger than me to the north, so it won't surprise me if he comes to challenge sometime."

His claws moved down along her spine gently before tracing of the curve of her ass gently as well.

“Probably not in my lifetime, I would imagine.” Peach remarked, shivering as she felt his claws slowly pass to her lower back and then continue down further. There it was again, that odd feeling as though part of her was lost in a hazy fog, trying to find it’s way back to her, to warn her of something she couldn’t quite grasp.

At this point it still simply felt gentle and comforting the way he stroked her, even though his hand was at her panty-covered ass. She wondered what the dragon to the north was like. Maybe he was a greedy dragon who hoarded vast amounts of wealth, causing havok wherever he went. Or perhaps he was a more sneaky dragon, using underhanded means or his own intelligence to get what he wanted. Either way, it didn’t really matter.

He laughed for a moment.

"Be careful of what you say, it could come true. However, I wouldn't give you up or let you come to harm."

His claws kneaded gently on her panty-clad ass, opening his eyes once more to look down at her.

"Why do you and Bowsette fight? Some sort of rivalry?"

“Give me up?” She chuckled. “I doubt another dragon would take an interest in someone who to him, is some random wench. The only reason you took interest was because of the involvement of magic. Now that we don’t have it, or can’t summon any, Bowsette and I are simply women who can fight, among other hobbies.”

She scowled, distracted from his hands now kneading her ass. “We fight because she is a childish, rude, obnoxious woman! Everything she does gets on my nerves the way she tries to provoke a reaction just to get some attention.” Peachier paused, realizing she was just ranting. After clearing her throat, she continued, “Well, truly it’s because of our kingdom’s history...” Peach went into detail about the kidnappings, and the fight for power between the two, including brief descriptions of the Mario brothers.

He didn't say anything to correct her, as he knew they were powerless without him now. Though he had made them unique to him, he doubted they would understand very quickly.

He didn't say anything as she began to tell their history, just shifted a little. He moved his hand from her to prop himself up on his elbow on his side. He moved his hand from her ass to rest on her hip as he listened. Once she was finished, he nodded slowly.

"I see. A true web you two have been weaved into. A constant rivalry for power that is always interrupted somehow by those brothers. I hate to say it, but it does sound a little like you've gotten some joy out of things, even if you have buried. Like a part that makes you whole."

Peach cocked her head to the side, furrowing her brow. Maybe she did miss it a little, especially the part where she got to travel back across the land with them. Still, she despised Bowsette for kidnapping her so many times. "Maybe a little... But now there are no brothers between us, only you. There is no power struggle because neither of us have any power. Well, not right now. She's quite persistent, you know. Even if she has to bully an alchemist into figuring out a way to prolong her life, she'll keep trying to become your queen until you relent. I've never seen anyone so persistent."

She gave a one-shoulder shrug. "Sometimes she would hang out with me when I was at the castle. There were times when I might almost have considered us friends... but I don't think that's truly the case. We're simply too different to be compatible." Her crown was starting to become a little dislodged out of her hair, slowly sliding to the side.

He gave a little smirk at how she spoke of Bowsette and her behavior. The game had changed from the two of them fighting over their kingdoms to trying to carve a niche within his. Not that it would matter much, since it would only be a portion of his life to give to them.

"Yes, that is true. She shows her ambitions in every move she makes. You, a little more subtle."

He noticed her crown slipping some, but he didn't try to adjust it. He would do something later for more permanence, but he didn't want to tip his hand. He leaned closer and kissed her softly for a moment.

"Get some rest my princess. You seem to be a little worn down now."

Peach gave him a little smile, "I think anything would be more subtle when measured against her."

She saw him lean forward, his lips briefly pressing against hers before pulling back. Peach didn't have much room to pull back, but she didn't necessarily want to. It wasn't a deep tongue-filled kiss or anything like that, it was a light kiss that simply conveyed more affectionate feelings.

"I am a bit tired, yes." she yawned, bringing her hand up to daintily cover her mouth as she did so. Getting a little more comfortable, she laid her head down and closed her eyes, wondering if he was going to sleep there with her, or go back to his own room. In any case, she hadn't realized how sleepy she was until he had mentioned it, her eyes drooping as she slowly drifted off into a deep slumber in his arms, soothed by the steady rhythm of his breaths.

He had thought about going back to his room, but he didn't want to disturb her. So instead, he laid there watching her. After a little bit, he reached up and touched her tattoo, sending the gentle waves of pleasure going through her petite form.

An idea did come to him about what to do with her crown. He knew it was a symbol for her, something to cling to remind her of home. So it wouldn't fall off so easily, he decided to change it into something that wouldn't. He took it off gently before using his magic to change it. He shifted it down to a gold ring, studded with the jewels around it before sliding it carefully on her right ring finger.

He gave her one more gentle kiss before closing his eyes himself to rest as well.
