I know Aussie and I were bantering about a possible concept but I hadn't heard anything about it in awhile.

He seems a really interesting mash-up of Vertigo and Wildstorm.
I would shy away from giving a specific year for the Newcastle debacle. I think that when Othermoose pitched the concept for this thread's John Constantine (and then vanished), I think he was going for a younger version of John. So it may have happened more recently than '98.
Other than that, I find your concept fascinating but I think I need to process it with my other three selves a little longer, heh.
