The Devil's Due: Damon has sold his soul to the devil in order to exact his revenge on Senator John Wright, the man responsible for sending him to prison. He looks to exact that revenge via John's wife Sarah and daughter Amy.

GenreCon Nights: Cosplay nerd Fiona and her best friend and building partner Chris just arrived at GenreCon, the biggest convention in the country! There might be a small problem with their sleeping arrangements...

The Neighbor: Bill's marriage to Jessica is fantastic, and their home life couldn't be better. Also... they're about to go meet the young couple that moved in next door.

Rocking a Writer: Juno is moving back to town and reconnecting with her childhood best friend... and her ultra-shy little brother. (p.s. Juno is THE BEST.)

here's a little note about doing rp's... something that I've discovered that might be relevant. A lot of guys (this might be true of girls too, but I'm not usually writing with them) that are writing here are actually not all that experienced in real life. honestly, this isn't a problem, I'm happy to work with you, and maybe even impart a little knowledge that you can take with you into your real life...

BUT...

you need to be honest with yourself. There's this stigma out there that you're just supposed to know how to have sex intuitively, and that's just such a hurtful idea. you're not any less 'masculine' if you admit that you haven't had a lot of experience, and in fact you're going to be a much better lover/writing partner if you are open about what you do and don't know. We can build something particularly suited for your needs.

Several stories that i'd been chatting with people about reached a point, in the last few days, where they're ready to start... so we started them. Which gives me a grand total of ten active threads. And they're VERY active; I try to make a high quality product, and my writing partners are all VERY prolific. I was caught up for a grand total of three minutes yesterday.

I wouldn't have taken all of this on if I didn't think I could do it, but this morning I got several messages from people offering to work with me, and now i'm totally torn. Because I LOVE talking about starting new stories. It's so much fun! Unfortunately, though; I have to be frugal, here. As awesome as this whole experience is, and as much as it functions as a great primer for me to start my ACTUAL writing, i'm probably going to have to refrain from starting anything new for a bit.

PLEASE still message me with ideas, I totally want to chat about them, and I'll absolutely dive into really good stories in the future; some of my existing threads are pulling into the last stretch, and i'm sure i'll be more available soon!

Chloe's Summer Vacation: Just-graduated-from-high-school Chloe is bored on her last family vacation with her family before she starts college, so she sneaks out and meets a fellow that doesn't have her best interest at heart. (Hacker worked really hard to keep up with the weird monkey wrenches that I kept throwing at him, and sometimes Derek seems to be a little out there... but he kept up with it and we got an awesome, complete RP out of it! WOOO!)

My Girlfriend's Roommate: Adam meets his gorgeous girlfriend's college roommate, and is surprised when he instantly knows exactly what her role is. (This was my very first thread, designed to be a sort of quiet meditation on one of my favorite taboos. I'm very proud of this one )

All the threads in my RP graveyard are ones where my writing partner and I mutually agreed to close it down. That seems the best way to go...

But... I have a thread or two that have been sitting unanswered for a while, with no reply from my partner. I'm probably going to have to move them to my graveyard soon, but i'd hate to hurt anyone's feelings when/if they came back...

Then again, it's probably arrogant of me to assume people are even CHECKING my rp lists to see what's active and what's not. They probably just look at their subscriptions, right?

Or... maybe another place to put on hold but still active threads? What would you call that?

-RP Retirement Home- - these are the threads I loved the most. I wish we could keep going!

The Election: Morgan's wife just became the Vice Presidential running mate in Grace's husband's bid for the white house. It's time for the two of them to pretend they don't have a very particular history... (Such an interesting premise! these are really compelling characters and i love the setting!)

The Latest Patch: Gracie is a high level Mystica player; a super-immersive virtual reality fantasy game. She and her partner Drak have a chance to unlock the newest game expansion... but their whole gaming experience is changed when they install an illusive underground mod. (omg, this story is amazing. My partner was a college freshman, and obviously we had to break it off so he could focus on his studies, but i LOVE. THIS. STORY.)

Sorcerous Sisters of Sex: Twin sisters Adara and River discover that they are descended from an ancient sect of Mages with a very particular way of gathering and wielding their magical powers... (love you, Sensualista )

Something In The Weed...: Mackenzie decides to try pot for the very first time. Unfortunately, Damon seems to take a liking to her... (this was going to be so DARK, and it was taking shape really nicely. Joker writes on his phone, and it just didn't hold up... but man i loved the places this was going to go)


-RP Graveyard- Sometimes threads just don't make the grade, and they die away. These are actually pretty fantastic reads, if only to enjoy HOW they died. Please be respectful

An Education in Pleasure: Alexa finds herself in a fancy new your party with lots of rich upscale people... and catches the attention of Gabriel van Thorne, who decides that she's going to be his next conquest. (I love love love love Sensualista. I read everything she writes, and she's an amazing partner. I just wasn't quite up for the role of Alexa, who we were kind of setting up to be our whoever-the-girl-in-50-shades-was. Just not my type of story I guess.)

Claiming Ms Vaughn: When high school senior Zack Codey discovers some videos of his young english teacher Ms Vaughn, he decides to use it to get a little more than just passing grades... (writing a non-consent (we call that rape in the real world) story is HARD. not everyone has it in them to bring that character to life, and that's probably a good thing. the RPGguru, bless his heart, just couldn't quite find it.)

Complete Ownership: Katy has a pretty terrible thing happen to her. (This story was a big departure for me, and it just never gelled. Sometimes you just have to pull the plug.)

Distractions: Hannah's marriage is over. She's not in a good place, but a impromptu relationship in tropical paradise might be just what she needs. (This one was just a staggering failure from the get-go. It's actually a fun read, if only to see how bad it is.)

The Jansa Prince: Kabri, a loner freighter captain, meets a fugitive human hacker. (Technically a finished thread, but it went wildly pear shaped on us. Aussie_Wolf and I did a ton of fantastic worldbuilding... some GREAT stuff. But we forgot to talk about who our characters were and how they were going to interact. the result is possibly the most spectacular example of a plot spiraling out of control I've ever seen.)

Sharing Space: Taylor takes a room in Olivia's large city loft. She soon discovers just what Olivia does for a living, and starts trying her hand at a very particular profession. (I love CarnivalBarker. love love love her. Sadly, this just wasn't a story she could find them time to focus on. She was exceptionally sweet when she told me she couldn't continue.)

Things You Shouldn't Do: Noah joins his wife at a destination wedding for her college best friend. He meets Molly, the Groom's younger sister, and soon discovers the myriad ways to get in trouble in paradise. (I actually liked where this story was going, and it's totally on me that I vanished on him (had a baby). I'm not sure why he saw fit to go in and delete all his posts, but que sera)
