there was another "sky net" type film, from the 80s i think. set/filmed in australia. started off with a fella who tried to commit suicide, and woke up, not dead, in the world on his own. or so he thought. there had been some sort of computer glitch and everyone who had been alive at the time, died? got vapourised? but everyone who dies at that moment didnt die, so the only bodies laying round are those that died in eg crashes, but didnt die, but died again of their injuries...or something like that.
he meets some woman at some point and they spend most of the rest of the film together...she had the most perfect arse and seemed to spend half her time arse exposed to the world, which is probably why it sticks in my head.
No idea what it was called. Been trying to remember it for years. anyone? any ideas?
