OK imagine 2 women - one with a slightly bigger bone structure than the other and hence, say, a broader back and shoulders.

If you measured them both around their back and over the fullest part of their breasts they might both measure 36 inches.

However, if you then measured (I believe it is) under their breasts and around the back - to effectively measure their chest measurement then one might be, say, 30 inches and the other 28 inches.

So one would have a gap of 6 inches between the two measurements and the other 8 inches. So they would have different cup sizes. Now these numbers I have used were just off the top of my head and so I have no idea if I just described a C and D cup - but the bigger the gap between the two measurements the bigger the cup size (so the higher the letter).

I found this thing the other day when I was cruising around on the net. I think it's called GOOGLE or something. Any way there's all kind of info on there.

Thanks for the idea though.
Now that I know how to properly measure bra size I can add it to the skills section on my resume. You know if that helps me get a job it's a job I'l like.

I read your rant and you make a good point. I've never really noticed size discrepancies in the erotica I read; I suppose I picture the image in my mind in a manner which would work for me.

The smilie in my post was because it was nice to see a guy (at least I'm assuming the thread starter is a guy) asking a good question. The "scoreboard" was a sarcastic way to point out how lopsided is the discussion of anatomy.

Yeah, it is a good question to ask, because at least he wants to gain some knowledge. I assume if the thread starter was female, they would know this already (unless they were eleven  ).

hmmmm...interesting.

And yeah, I've noticed the stupid parts of "She had 42FFF breasts on her petite body"....hehehe--terrible.

When I told my boyfriend I'm a C cup, he was like "you're not THAT big"...LOL! You also have to account for shape. My breasts are conical ("Like old Roman paintings" the boyfriend says), so when I'm NOT wearing a bra that shapes me into roundness they DO look smaller, but actually ARE a C cup (a good way to tell you're wearing too small of a bra is if you have the "double boob"--when your boobs look like the michelin man).

Oh my goodness!

Finally someone who is not afraid that lightning will strike him (I assume as well) dead for not being born with this knowledge!!!!!

Around here, all the guys want to know is a girls cup size. Too bad they don't seem to realize that the larger cup sizes usually tend to mean there is a larger girl size to go with it as well...

I remember after my first daughter was born and I had to order new bras, my hubby finally asked me what size I was. After I told him the actual numbers he kind of looked at me funny and said he had never thought I was that big. I asked him what size he had thought I was all these years and he said " I never thought it was something I should have to ask you. I dunno, just pretty big" LOL! He's a rocket scientist for sure!! :D

Maybe they should all get a pamphlet in grade school or something?? T'would be nice to not have to roll my eyes so much when reading descriptions of female characters in some author's erotica.....

;)

I still don't get it.....

I feel like an idiot since breasts are one of my passions in life

I just asked my wife and she threw me a curve. She says she varies in cup size depending ont he style of bra between D and DD. Just when I thought I had this lingerie buying thing down pat.

It also varies by manufacturer. Victoria's Secret sizes run smaller - so their bras might put you in a C cup even though you're usually a B.

Very true. If I were to buy a underwire the same size as a non-underwire I would be spilling out the top and it would be cut differently and make it look like I actually have 4 boobs. This is a double edged sword as underwire bras for big girls tend to be prettier I would need one much larger and they are hard to find in your average store.
I still don't get it.....
Basically the cup letter is actual boob size, the # is size around the torso just where the band of the bra goes under the boobs.

It's like all sizes. You measure (in this case around the boobs and underneath) to get to the right size. Then you start trying on bras and realize that some fit in this size, some don't. Just like shoes, or jeans, or any other piece of clothing.
Buying lingerie for a woman without having her try it on is very hard. I'm looking for new underwear, try on lots of bras, all my size, but I don't seem to be able to find one that looks nice in itself and makes my breasts look nice, too.
Plus, breast sizes and forms tend to change ever so slightly (or more) depending on the time of cycle.
So you really don't need to feel like an idiot for not understanding. Sizes won't help you any with your passion anyway, as all breasts look different, even if they are the same size.

Thanks, I think I got it. And nothing could effect my passion, I just like talking about boobs :p

Thanks

Let me edit that: "42FFF breasts on her petite body. Although she was 30 and has 5 kids, her tits were as firm as an 18 year old. So I took out my 12 inch cock, she deepthroated the whole thing and came in her mouth. I remained hard and f'd her doggie and then buried all 12 inches in her ass."

Fiction, yes. Accurate, no.

It a difference of inches. D cup is about 1 inch (around the whole body at bust level) bigger than a C cup is. However if you have one person who is a small C and another woman who is a large D there could be as much as a 2 inch difference.

Or do you mean something like, "how does each size fit in the palm of my hand?"

That I couldn't answer as mine have always been rather larger (DD +) - even in my junior High days.

Well, whose breasts are they? Yours? Someone else's? The only way to determine that for sure is to measure with a measuring tape using the methods described in this thread. Otherwise it's just a guess. Or you could use this guide, not that it's official or anything.

Plum - A Cup
Lemon - B Cup
Orange - C Cup
Grapefruit - D Cup
Melon - DD Cup

Ah, breasts and produce. Too bad Sunkist doesn't size its oranges by cup size.

But seriously, I'm not so sure about the plum-lemon-orange comparisons. The B- and C-cup women I've been with were much larger than lemons and oranges.

On the other hand, maybe my store only sells small citrus.

Indeed, the California naval and the Florida Sunkist orange are very different in size and skin texture, and both are very different from the luscious Satsuma oranges. Fruit is definitely not the best guide; however, since pinklovers couldn't figure it out based on all the detailed measurement instructions and bra size information, I thought I'd try a different approach.

What does it matter anyway? You either like the girl or you don't and whether you can figure out her cup size at 20 ft. should hardly be relevant to anything. I mean, if you can SEE them, why is it important to know the exact size?
