"If only you did not have to travel so far," I stand and frown slighty. "I think I shall arrange to visit your home," I glance up as if scheduling things within my head. "How is two days hence?" my pulse is racing and I merely hope for his acceptance as I sort out how to manage the time away from my estate.

Tis a two day journey my lady. I would expect to be away almost a week. Seeing as you can journey in two days, would it please my Lady if I and my squire act as your escorts for the journey? Is there anything I can do to help you prepare for the journey?

"I didn't realize it was so far," my nose crinkles in thought. "Please I invite you to spend the night here and I shall make arrangements and be ready to leave at first light tomorrow."

Willingly I would spend the night, however allow me to send a message to my squire at the inn in the village indicating I will be staying and he should meet us in the morning.
If it pleases my lady, in addition to the wonderous meal you have prepared for me, what is there which brings you joy and fulfillment?

A journey to my home

My appologies, my Lady. When our liege Lord politely requested that I come here alone for an interview I was not expecting to remain for the night. As a result I have left my squire, and everything at the local inn. I know it is not common but do you have somewhere I can wash myself?

"Of course, how thoughtless of me," I murmur and rise and show have a basin brought in for you to wash and ask that you send a message to your squire, and give it to the messenger boy who brought in the basin. He holds a sheef of creamy paper and has a quill and inkwell.
