With regard to the bomb, is Brainiac progressing in the right direction, barking up the right tree?

Well, yes, it makes no sense, but that's why I figured it was a perfect, uh, nookie-nook for Salu and Ord. A little best-kept-secret hideaway.
It's a sci-fi comic, there's bound to be anomalies. Maybe this chunk of rock has a darkmatter core, giving it extra gravity, so when that planet sundered into this asteroid belt, that particular rock kept an atmospheric sleeve...
