Laundry fetish - should I be concerned?

My cat apparently loves Italian women. He'll let them do stuff to him that anyone else would be stalked and killed for.

They do know the difference between men and women. I knew a cat that was terrified of men and wouldn't come out for days if I was there.

Run the beast through the washer - gentle cycle, warm water - and then hang it out to dry. See if that gives the little beggar a different perspective on laundry.

Be the ball.....be the fetish.

Well, it looks like the younger cat, Tiger Lily, is developing a fetish of her own.

First I caught her hacking into my laptop, stealthily, from underneath...

And then she took it over completely...

Where did I go wrong? When will the madness end? When??!!

Both of your cats have problems?

 KITTY ABUSER!

:p

Well, my visa expires Oct 1st, I've been here two years, and I really, really need civilization! LOL.
Bad kitty! Give Keroin the computer back!
Nope, just an Island Meow.
Ah okay - the spots on the tummy looked like a Mau! Pretty kitty!

God I love cats. All cats. I even found a cat at Dragoncon, sort of!

Toshiba? Satellite maybe? If so, I approve of the choice. I have had nothing but good fortune with Toshibas. They are some of the best value laptops on the market IMO.

this is the best thread i have stumbled upon in quite a while.
i once had a fat cat who would play dead under the bird feeder.
then one who would beat up any dogs who attempted to cross onto his lawn.
cats and their kinks...

Looks like it to me. And I quite agree, excellent choice.

As to the kitty abuser, just don't let them get into the knitting bag and everything should be fine. Mine did once and we found "yarnballs" for months afterward. Such pretty blues and greens

AAAAAACK NOOOOOOO DON'T TOUCH THE YARN!!!

I keep mine in boxes that clip shut!

Well sadly that particular cat pulled the same crap with my grandma's sewing kit and swallowed a decent sized needle before any of us could stop him. He went quietly into the night shortly afterward.
But yes, my yarn still isn't safe, the dog seems to think it is tastier than the cat ever did

Oh dear...I'm sorry to hear about kitty. :( :(

I think that's the way he would have wanted to go. Done in by his own stupidity. He was my miracle cat anyway, survived being struck with a 2 iron in the face as a kitten. Needless to say, there *might* have been some lasting brain damage.

Yes, the computer fetish is getting out of hand. We've had very cool weather lately and these cats are used to heat. Usually, she can be found curled in my lap but when that's not available I suppose a nice warm laptop is the next best thing.

I, too, love the kitties. I'm going to miss these little freaks when I go. Trying to get in as much quality time as possible. It's going to be weird seeing dogs again - there are no dogs allowed on Wannahockalugee. None.

Happy to hear I get the Geek seal of approval! LOL. Yes, Lappy has been a good, reliable friend. Unfortunately, his battery burned out shortly after I arrived here and he's proving, after 3 years, to be a little limited in the storage department, so I fear his days are numbered. Next purchase will likely be a Mac.

I love the one we just got, and it was way cheap. I certainly approve of a Mac insofar as laptops go. MIS' laptop was what convinced me to switch to my mac mini, and I've been dead happy with it. It's an excellent value and uses astonishingly little power.

Unfortunately, my next laptop will be a Compaq. Blech. But, hey, it will be essentially free, so I'm not complaining. I just wish my employer would get off the Dell bandwagon. Admittedly, the Dell that I'm using now has been solid, and the one before it was relatively solid, they're quirky machines, and I've just not had good luck with them in the past.

Years ago, I had an IBM Thinkpad. Clunky, old, but reliable. It decided to have an issue with the CD-ROM. Well, my then employer was switching to Dell's, so they sent me one. In the space of two months, I went through EIGHT different laptops, with different issues each. I got fed up and asked for my old Thinkpad back because at least it worked more or less. And, even more sad, _I_ figured out what was wrong with the CD-ROM and fixed it myself. I was PISSED when they made me give it up to switch to a Dell for good.

Toshiba Satellites have always been good to me. MIS' macbook is fantastic. I would suggest either without reservation. Battery failures like yours are endemic to hot, humid, sandy places and that's with all laptops. Laptops like neither deserts nor the tropics.

(Thinking about it, wow, I've used a lot of different laptops over the years.)
