Leather and Lace

Kallie smiled at Katie. "thank you love."

Jen helped Keri into bed then went into the kitchen quietly.

Katelyn beams with pride at Kallie's words, because she called her 'my love' "Your very welcome"

Keri lays on her back looking up at the ceiling. She is in a lot of pain but as usual says nothing as Jen leaves the room.

Kallie smiles at Katie and has yet to notice that Jen is in the room.

Jen slips back up the stairs and looks in on Keri knowing she's in pain. She notices something and goes over hooking the iv up and slipping it back into it's place the nurses were smart and left a heplock in place. She pushed buttons on the machine and gave Keri her pain meds as well as the seditive.

Katelyn grins at Kallie "What else do you need me to do?"

Keri doesn't notice Jen slip into the room. She has drifted into a very fitful, pained sleep. She stirs a bit and wakes up as she feels the cold of the IV fluids running into her vein and looks up at Jen, unsure of what she is being given at this point. She gives Jen a week smile "thanks sis"

Kallie smiles at Katie. "I have it covered but I bet you can check the fridge for fruit and put a fruit salad together."

Jen smiles at Keri. "Your welcome sis and it's just your pain meds and the mild sedative."

Katelyn smiles and heads over to fridge, she pulls out some strawberries, raspberries, blackberries and then grabs a couple of bananas and the carton of orange juice. She cuts up the strawberries and bananas and puts them in a large bowl then adds the other berries. She splashes some orange juice into the bowl then looks around "sugar?"

Keri just looks at Jen but doesn't react, she hates sedatives but at this point doesn't care.

Kallie points to the bowl on the table. She starts to fry up some frenchtoast putting it on plates when it finishes.

Jen looks at Keri. "You need to sleep I know you don't like sedatives."

Katelyn grabs the bowl and pours some sugar on the fruit then mixes it up, hoping that everyone will like it.

Keri nods weakly and holds up a hand a little ways.

 

[JenJ]

Kallie smiles. "I'm sure everyone will like it."

Jen squeezes Keri's hand.

Katelyn smiles at Kallie and sets the food on the table "Okay"

Keri smiles at Jen and squeezes her hand back "Thank you, go eat hon"

 

[JenJ]

Kallie sets the two plates on the table and covers the other food with a cover to keep it warm.

Jen smiles at Keri. "Okay and I'll bring you some up later."

Katelyn pulls out Kallie's chair for her.

Keri smiles at Jen "thanks"

Kallie sits down and smiles at Katie.

Jen smiles and leaves the room going back downstairs and into the kitchen. "Hello."

Katelyn pushes Kallie's chair in then sits down. Smiling at Jen "hiya"

Keri fights to keep her eyes open but gives up and lets sleep take over.

Kallie settles and smiles at Jen. "Hi foods on the counter."

Jen gets a plate and joins them at the tabel.

Kately smiles at Jen as she sits down "Keri okay? and are you okay?"

Keri sleeps soundly, not moving a muscle

 

[JenJ]

Kallie smiled at Jen and waited for her to answer.

Jen nodded. "Yes Keri is okay she's sleeping know and I'm okay know."

Katelyn watched Kallie and Jen alternately, remaining very quiet.

Keri tries to roll over in her sleep but rolls back quickly, wincing a bit and her eyes fluttering open for a moment. She starts to panick a bit and looks around trying to figure out where she is but she is too out of it and fighting to keep her eyes open long enough to figure out where she is.

Kallie glances between Katie and Jen as she eats.

Jen eats her food slowly enjoying it.

Katelyn eats quietly.

Keri goes back into a deep sleep, still unsure of where she is at

Kallie finishes eating.

Jen finishes up her food and fixes a plate for Keri and takes it up to her. She sits by Keri's bed and holds onto Keri's hand.

Katelyn picks at the rest of her food, still not back to her normal appetite. She watches Jen concernedly as she heads back upstairs but doesn't say anything.

Keri feels Jen as she takes her hand. She tries to force her eyes open and succeeds but her head is spinning. She still has that panicked look of not knowing where she is as she tries to focus on Jen's face.

Kallie looks at Katie. "Aren't you hungry and she is just quiet right know?"

Jen holds Keri's hand. "Keri your safe your at Kallie's house."

 

[DustyWolfe]

Katelyn eats a bit more before looking up at Kallie "My stomach is still a bit messed up I think." She looks at the doorway then back at Kallie "It's good for Jen to have Keri."

Keri closes her eyes back in an attempt to stop her head from spinning, her fighting against the sedative only making it worse.

Kallie nods slowly. "Yes it is good for her she needs this."

Jen squeeze's Keri's hand. "Don't fight the seditive."
