What they're counting on is that Mueller is going to be careful in choosing his words and shading what he says to not make them look like the idiots that they are but he can't make the facts something that they are not.

The Dems will probably get some sound bites out of it and the Republicans will get some substance out of it but no sound bites because Mueller will be careful to say things in a way that's too convoluted to make a good sound bite.
