Deprived - I don't think I missed it, but... whereabouts in the country are you from? I'm presently residing in Berlin, and struggling daily with the language :)

I would never have guessed by your accent that you're not a American!

I can hear a very slight German accent on some words, but only because you've drawn attention to the fact that this is where you come from originally. Otherwise, I would never have noticed :).

I also love languages incidentally.

I have really enjoyed listening the conversation between all of you on this page. There is a difference between the pronunciation of a variety of English words in UK and US English. Regarding 'issue' specifically, this is the UK version: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_ghYaDxTsSo (note that she is stressing the second 's' to highlight the difference).
