I'm thinking of a story from the inside out (no beginning or end, just middle) and I'd like your ideas to fill in the blanks (sci-fi/fantasy).
The center concept is that children aren't born, they're grown.
Conceived with a sort of mind bond, the child grows in a pod like a large butterfly.
The child grows with a tail that looks like a long vacuum cleaner cord plugged in his or her butt crack.
A female will also be fully smooth with no real vagina (having no use for it).
Neither gender would have a navel, because the placenta is not there.
At age 18, the male or female is let loose from the pod, but is still wired in to it.
The cord works as a remote control (public oral sex is legal and is as common as licking a lollypop and drinking from a drinking fountain), because the 18 year old has no brain.
Nudity is not looked upon as taboo, and fondling breasts and penises are every day recreational habits, but would be very erotic to frequent visitors to the planet like Star Trek's "Risa".

Artificial brains are commonly manufactured using a replicater/pattern enhancer you may have seen used on Star Trek.
It actually replicates sections of the brain that don't work unless put together, so one could say he lost his mind and actually mean it.
The brain parts are like loaners that are taken out of the elderly and donated to a pod that is newly in use, meaning lobotomies for the elderly are an accepted way of life on this new world.

This should be from the point of view of a vacationing alien from another planet.
The story sounds like one of those apocalyptic novels, but I want it more erotic.

This is a society where mental abilities have been genetically enhanced to be much superior than normal humans, and as such, artificial brains are commonplace.
Throughout the story there's mention of growth pods, but this will not be specified as the main part of the story.

For any of you (aside from Bedtime Stories and asshole friends) who are not ignoring me, I would like to hear your ideas for the rest of the story.

Since the war, normal humans have been living in underground shelters which have connecting tunnels across the world, but these people (immune to the radiation) live above ground.

If there are no female reproductive organs (and you're quite correct - they have no function in this scenario, so wouldn't exist), equally there will be no male reproductive organs.

Sexual gratification would come from the melding of minds to create a child.

Physical sexual triggers would have no meaning whatsoever in this society.

If violent or aggressive hormones can still be active, sexual hormones can come out of a dormant stage (Via pheromone trigger).
These are normal humans genetically enhanced after all, not from a different gene pool or society of robots.
Over the years the vaginal tube has disappeared and pussy lips were sealed together, even the womb has shrunk because of non use.
The G-spot might have even shifted (like titanic plates) in this scenario.

Because you're looking forward! If you look backward, or even to the side, you won't see them. Also they have synthetic sensors so even if you couldn't physically see the stars they could be visually represented.

Why not just grow normal people. When a woman gets herself in a family way, the embryo is removed and put into a growth tank.

Basically, if you are going to go to the grow humans in a tank, there should be a scientific, or rational explanation for how humans could have gotten to that point. First of all, the Enterprise does look backwards and to the sides Via a special blend of fibers in glass windows.
The forward censers (censers surrounding the ship) have a separate function from the view screen (which can look backwards).
The censers prompt yellow and red alerts (yellow alert should be automatic).
