I kinda agree with you but can see how it can cause problems when you have a very competitive driver who might not take too well to being told they are not allowed to drive their best race and maybe lose points/podiums because of it. Like you said though it would be better if all the teams were more evenly matched on budgets so that every team had a fair chance of doing well.

If the teams aren't allowed to issue team orders then why have 2 drivers. Why not 1 driver per team, then there would be no problem. However I think that would cut the revenue it generates and Bernie E wouldn't like that.
