Michael looked embarassed, but James smirked. It seemed he could sense that the doctors emotions broiled under the surface. Aira however, was mortified.
She ignored his question, eyes cast down. She shouldn't have let the boys whisk her away so easily. She shouldn't have let Savannah take her place. And most of all, she shouldn't have deluded her self that there was more between her and the doctor. They weren't friends, they weren't partners. She was his employee.
Finally, with a voice that was barely a whisper, she answered. "No doctor. I want this job. I'm sorry. I will never give you cause to doubt my professionalism ever again."
As they headed inside, Aira xaught a haute look from Savannah, who was clearly thrilled that the doctor was upset with Aira, despite being disappointed he had refused her help.
As they headed up to Mr. Andrews room, Aira called her nerves, and did her best to summon everything she learned in school. She stepped into the room, and stood beside the bed, with her hands behind her back as Dr Cassidy introduced himself to the patient.
Cassidy explained there was no known cure for Rhuematism, and walked hom through some simple excercises to ease the joint pain, when Aira interrupted. "Do you have a pharmaceutical store in town?"
"Yes." He said, after a minute, looking back and forth between the doctor and his assitant.
"There's been some studies that show Evening Primrose oil and any type of fish oil cam vastly alleviate swelling in muscle fibroids. If Dr Cassidy thinks that may be worth a try, I'm sure he could write you a perscription."
