There is no 'Liberalism' in the U.S. now - it's all hard left nihilism. These fucks are in the 'go for broke' mode, bot Trump is well positioned to tame them. The left has become irredeemably crazy.
 
So has the right, though. It's become way, WAYYYY more extreme. I used to be one of those sane, rational conservatives- back when the Republican party actually had principles and actually stood for freedom and small government. Now it's all about racism, hate, expanding government reach into private lives, roll-backs of civil rights, concentration of unchecked power into the executive branch, irrational war-mongering, xenophobia, anti-science, anti-health, anti... pretty much everything. "Trump is well position to tame them-" sounds like authoritarian over-reach to me. The conservatives of my youth would have been horrified by such a statement.
