You should try real sugar Pepsi. Tastes much more like coke but I still prefer coke over Pepsi.

As far as legacy, I suspect the classics like the Stones, etc WILL stand the test of time in most corners - though I can admit that some of the older stuff from big name bands DOES sound a bit dated to my ears. Also: When I feel “nostalgic” listening to a song, it loses…something…imho. I’ve also always appreciated avant-garde art (media), and I enjoy seeing progress rather than watching things decay / stagnate, so…

What is your name? Kitana. There is a story to it of course. It was supposed to be Katana. But my father did not know how to spell it properly and misunderstood my mother, so he put Kitana on the birth cert forms. And there ya go. Hence the KitKat part of my name on here. Which of course works well with the candy aspect. And yes, most friends call me Kit as well. But Kitana is also fine. Also I am small, hence the "Lil" part.

How old am I? 25 as of late 2025...

What do I do for work? I graduated in business economics. I work for a very large company that you are likely using at least one of their products on a near daily basis/been ot their website likely in the last few days, and I work as a technical project manager.

It will be incumbent on the parents and/or older sibling to expose their kids to the bands they like.
That is how my brother got me into some 70s, 80s, 90s bands as an example (Depeche Mode, The Smiths, Smashing Pumpkins, Garbage...) vs only listening to Cardi B, Arctic Monkeys, Coldplay, Tyler the Creator etc.

See, that’s the thing: To a kid, all those bands you initially mentioned will sound avant-garde AND polished: Meanwhile, some older bands DO sound dated by any measure - even the Beatles & the Stones, etc. A lot of it comes down to recording limitations / production value - as well as the “clunkiness” of trying to invent a new genre (imho).

Still, The Beatles & The Stones, etc will ALWAYS be the giants whose shoulders the others stand atop (their talent / creativity / boundary breaking is undeniable).

I like many of the bands and/or songs from older eras. I admit that there is at least ONE that I really dont like at all, that is considered legendary (I may not ever reveal which major band that is...otherwise my famm from grace will be swift)...but MOST I can appreciate if not actually enjoy

No, it isnt The Beatles or Stones, love both of them!

It’s gotta be The Beach Boys

I know there is some debate about The Beach Boys’ status as one of the all-time greatest bands (they’re just “meh” to me).

(Late edit: I should have considered The Grateful Dead as a possibility as well.)

If we’re talking about old bands from the early 70s (not really the exact same era as the Beatles & the Stones), I might go with The Eagles or Journey.
