At risk of being an idiot... what is this? 👀 I clicked it and I still don't understand 🤣
For those in the UNITED STATES, there is an annual tournament of mens college basketball teams that compete to see who is the best that year. There is also one for women.
Anyway, its a big deal in the USA for people taking off work, drinking beer, eating nachos and hamburgers, watching basketball all day...and betting on them.
No one has EVER picked a perfect bracket and there have been prizes of a million dollars or more to anyone who ever does. The odds are astronomical.
Anyway, so thats what this is...you may have heard of some of those universities that are traditionally good like Duke and North Carolina, Kansas, UCLA, Arizona, Kentucky, Michigan State, UConn...a few others. If they do well during the year when they play other schools in their conference and some outside of their conference, they can get an invite to this tournament. And then away we go. It starts the following week!

🍆💦 Hot girl that knows sports 🥰

I recall a month or two ago someone on here mentioned how the UK food is good and I was saying soemthng about how you never see British restaurants etc...anyone else remember that?

Well, Ill just leave this quote from Frederic Vasseur (Team Prinicpal, Ferrari) here:

"Fred Vasseur asked how Lewis Hamilton is adjusting to Italian life: “I am not sure it is a drama to adapt yourself to the Italian food when you are coming from the UK.”

Yes, *I* love football, more than any other sport. But UEFA Champions League is already in the qtr finals...not to mention a lot of ppl on this site are American and couldnt name anyone other than Messi and Ronaldo likely so...
Yes!! Finally something sports related that I understand. What do you think of the new format?

nobody likes change

and then we get used to it

league phase/group stage and some other terms and number of matches and whatever...just confused me or threw me for a loop at least, at first...same with seeding and such

but whatever

as long as you get some elite teams playing each other toward the end like Real Madrid, Arsenal, Bayern Munich, Liverpool, Juventus, PSG, Barcelona, Ajax, and that mostly has still happened

Side note: ANYONE BUT FUCKING INTER

Based on who's left I want to say either Madrid or PSG, who have won hell of a team this year, normally you'd say Bayern Inter, but they bought a couple of Tottenham players and that seems to have changed them 😅

Is there a deadline for the basketball thing, I might do a few Google searches and see if I can make an attempt, if I can, being from the wrong country and all

I dont care for Arsenal so not them
I never root for any German team so fuck Bayern and Dortmund
I dislike Real but do own their kit
I will chop all my hair off and pluck out my teeth one by one before ever rooting for Inter
Guess that leaves Aston, PSG, Barca.

I love the city of Barcelona but hate their kits and color combos always
I have a West Ham kit which are the same colors as Aston, but I dont root for Aston
I do own a PSG kit from 2017 or so.
Go PSG I guess

The tournament truly starts next Thursday so you have basically until next Wednesday, but the schools arent selected until Sunday.
Lots of ppl do a little research on Mondays, see who ESPN or CBS or some other pundits are picking, and then go from there.

Here's hoping the timezone is good to me.

I guess I should root for PSG because I did it French exchange with a guy from Brittany who somehow managed to support them, is it bad that I was relatively neutral on Germany until my cousin married to German lady? Now I agreed completely with your take on Germany. Yeah PSG for the cup 😅

Was trying to see if there was something on my butt like a hair or a string or something (it was a notch itchy haha), and then thought...whatever, Lit people are sometimes thirsty hahaha...so enjoy
