Well, politics aside .... We have fucking awesome lightning storms, can enjoy Tshirt weather at Thanksgiving, can be fucking drenched with rain one minute then hot and sunny the next. Not to mention $2.50 gas!!

What's your take, I'm interested.
Ok you mentioned politics and that’s a big one for me.

But ok, I would not want r shirt weather at Thanksgiving when I could wear sweaters and such. It’s late November. So yea, weather is a big one. Fuck the lack of any seasons and all heat

The general attitude… don’t mess with Texas bulkshit.

Cowboys and rodeos and all that. I’m anything but that lifestyle

South/midwest type of vibe as attitudes…I don’t want to offend anyone but let’s just say there are some stark differences and why some cities are more diverse than others.

cuisine focus.

But and this will hark back to the first point but I really only needed to say

Ted Cruz

And then drop the mic

As for visiting the USA it depends what you want to see. I mean it’s tough to say don’t go to NYC or California. It maybe you prefer to be judged for having darker skin or being Jewish or Muslim or gay or something? Then hell yes go to Florida or Texas

I went there in October when I was 23, I had the TV version of the States in my mind, and f***me it was cold, though as soon as you guys heard an Irish accent I did make friends pretty quick

People with accents are freaking awesome!! People know I'm not from Texas just by the way I talk. It kinda pisses me off because I want to fit in with my fellow Texans. People are nice as fuck, people of all races get along like I never knew could happen.

Generally stay out of politics in the US because ours is so f****** different, put Ted Cruz bugs the shit of me, wasn't he born in Canada, am I the only one that thinks he's cosplaying as to what he thinks a Republican is supposed to be?

Just an fyi if you ever come to Ireland and think a republican means the same thing in this country as it does in the US you're in for a massive shock

The Texas accents aren’t my thing but admittedly Jersey is worse. Faaaar worse

Ok , I understand. I'm California born and raised. I grew up thinking people of different races hated each other and couldn't get along. Moving her,I was quite surprised. It's very diverse, love talking to African Americans, funniest fucking people you'll meet. Most everyone her is very selfless. I'm not used to that coming from California.

Weather was a biggie for me. I don't excel in heat. Summer that try to fry the skin off your body, yea, sucks ass. I've learned to love it though.

My part of Texas, near Tyler, is not a "hickfest". It's a very diverse group of amazing people I'd never know existed if I never was here.

Don't knock it until you try it. Yes, there's shitty people everywhere, but that's not the whole picture.

Boston is a way cool city despite having sports teams I hate
Boston IS cool. Lots of history and lots of learning to be had. The Cape is nice in the summer too, although those from southern CA would probably be like "you call this a beach?" and the presence of all the tourists in a bunch of small towns filled with retirees (aka elderly drivers) makes it take a goddamn hour to drive 2 tiny towns over, but hey, that's the Cape for ya

My area of Texas is VERY diverse and we all get along amazingly. It makes me truly sad to think you'd be mistreated. ☹️

Lol!! I don't know sports for shit. Sports could walk up and kick me in the balls and I'd be like "what the FUCK was that!!!' avoid the shitty big cities. Asshole fuckers who care only about themselves and what they can take from others live there. I apologize to any fellow Texans who might live there reading this, I'm sure you're the exception to the rule.
