Lit Smutty Book Club

With the state of the world, I’ve recently dived back into reading as a form of escape. But I’ve been sticking to smutty (okay some have been downright filthy ) books. Just like movies/tv I I need to escape and don’t want anything I have to actually THINK about (except in my “alone time” ).

We can even have a rating system for the naughty…up to five lip bites ()?

Anyways…thought I’d start a place to talk about the smutty books we are escaping with.

I’ll go first - apparently, I have a “thing” for Mafia men…Bratva in particular. Who knew?

I’ll start with JT Gessinger’s Queens and Monsters series:
Ruthless Creatures
Carnal Urges
Savage Hearts
Brutal Vows

Irish Mafia and Russian Mafia men finding their partners and all the naughtiness they introduce them to. The plot and the sexy times are top tier! Made me moan out loud a time or two. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Ohhh…I’m about to be finished with my current Bratva read… (TJ Maguire’s Bratva series - have devoured it!)

Now let me say that I listen to a lot of these but also have a book going on Kindle and one like real book too…

And continuing on my naughty Mafia there is almost nothing better than a narrator who can do the filthy words in an Irish accent…good lord!

Lights Out by Navessa Allen

I liked it okay. I had avoided it for a while because they called it “so dark” - it wasn’t that dark! Though gave “to the hilt” a whole new meaning!

There are two sequels but I’m not going to read them…wasn’t that invested.

Finished my Audible of the Saint View Murder Squad Series by Elle Thorpe - three books.

These were funny AND smutty! Some “why choose” where we got some VERY hot MM scenes. My one complaint was that the spicy scenes got to be too much and I skipped the last few…but that’s also because I like the story and wanted to get back to that.

Also the FMC is a curvy girl, which I LOVE!

I'm trying to get back to one of my guilty pleasures, namely trashy romance novels. I love them partially because they're so badly written. I was reading an actually good romance novel, except for how the author described their characters.

She smelled of "soap" and "woman." A woman who understood basic hygiene??

He smelled of "man" and "pine cones" and "fresh mountain air." Because if he smelled of woman, that would be a hormonal imbalance requiring medical attention!

But on occasion, they do have some good sex scenes. Only thing is, I'm much better at writing them! I'm reading one right now about a man who has suffered two TBIs and married and fathered a child after the first one. When the second one happened, he remembered he was actually a doctor. Waiting for the sex to start.

Okay I wanna get in on this one, Sara Cate series of Salacious Players Club, starts with “Praise”. I have read this book a few times the series goes thru the owners of Salacious sex club, each owner with their own kink. I’m on book 4 now.

I just bought all six on Audible for $15!

I have so much smut in my Audible library now (bought 23 books these past few days) I will be good for almost the whole year with my credit every month.

I will be using my credit for the sequel to Bad Bishop that comes out on Tuesday…

I really like Sara Cate, looking into more of her series.

Not super smutty but I love Meghan Quinn books. Smut and absurd comedy are a great combination.
