Hook me up with some dates ect as this progresses! I am very interested! I had asked on the NC board about something closer to me, since I dont like to be more then two hours away from the kids when I go to stuff! You know in case of emergencies! I am excited to see how this will turn out!

No I don't think it was lack of interest. Bad timing is all. The big one was being planned for Charlotte when this thread was started. Only thing bothering me about this one is I think SCBT has graduated from collage now and she may be to busy to plan it. Then again maybe not. I know she loves the beach.

I would like to place a vote for Myrtle. The main reason I do so is traveling costs. I don't know how many fly into an area for a chat party, but ya can't get much cheaper flights than those going in or out of Myrtle.

OK I'm willing to do the leg work, but before I do I just want to know if there is any interest in have a Litogether at the beach maybe sometime in August or something....and by beach I mean anywhere from wilmington to Myrtle Beach to Garden City, SC to Surfside to Pawley's Island....

If we want this to be held in Myrtle Beach, We need a person or persons from that area to do some leg work. Check out the hotels to see where we can get the better rates and so forth. Tourist season will be begining there in just a few days, so the rates will jump. Now do we want to do this during tourist season? Comeone folks, toss some ideas out there.

Not during tourist season ... during the off season... which gives us more time for planning! LOL but thats just me! However I think we should do it early enough that we can still enjoy the beach! Like August or September -- or start planning for next year in March or April. Depending on how many people have taken their work vacations this year already ect. and how many are planning on coming!

rates drop after labor day... people usually don't go away till late september
