Little Black dress

I went to a wedding over the weekend and the outfit of the evening was the little black dress in short or long length. If it was long it had slits on the side and if it was short it was to the knee. All with spaghetti straps. Most of the young girls (20's) had soft glitter on their shoulders or a real/fake tattoo on their shoulder blade. Their hair was usually done in some sort of curls and mostly down. They all looked very pretty, classy and sexy.

Now that you have the picture, imagine them dancing with their shoes off and holding a beer bottle. Every one of them had a beer bottle every time they fast danced. Some also while they slow danced. I though it was fine and made them even sexier but others at my table boohooed them for holding the bottle.

What do you think?

Down here, they hold brass spitoons. Down right sexy, I'll tell you what.

Ya know why they looked sexy? Because they were young and unselfconscious. They weren't TRYING to impress anyone. Oldies can't stand people to look sexy when they obviously aren't even making any EFFORT. LOL.

I don't think it's sexy at all.

But after a thought, many young people, especially young women I suspect, have developed the habit of never letting their drink out of their hand and not drinking anything mixed by anyone else. It was probably more of a habit of self-protection.

Very interesting point. I think if I was a young girl and with concern for my safety that I might do the same. I did notice that none of them had drinks in a glass. Everything was bottled. I'll have to check it out the next time I go to a bar.

I wonder if MAXIM did a study.

Hey, didn't you say this was a wedding? Why would they have to be so protective? Perhaps, they were merely thristy?!? Sounds like it was a lot of fun...

Tony....

I'm in my early twenties, and that wedding sounds like a frat party, how very UNclassy. Some people truly lack class. I hope that my wedding never looks like the picture you painted for us. What a let down for the younger generation trying to fight the stereotypical image. Never wear black to a wedding, glitter is for art projects, and temporary tattoos are never classy.

True, Myst. Black is one of the major thou-shalt-nots at a wedding; white is, too, unless one is the bride.

As for the rest, most wedding traditions link to fertility rituals in one way or another. They got the guys excited, didn't they?

I don't need the beer bottle for that... I can make an ass of myself dancing completely sober thank you!

;-)

Where was the bottle being held? i can think of some very sexy ways a beer bottle can be held, and most do not involve the hands. May not be reception appropriate, but it is sexy.

Oh, hello. *g* Welcome to the Boards. *points and whispers to MB* I like her! hehehe

And I agree. I drink at weddings. Yes, sometimes a beer even. If they were dancing and having a good time, why is that wrong? Seems to me the people at your table needed to mind their own business and not oggle the girls perhaps?

*grins* Welcome again, Sensua.
