Lobo: The Main Man

Lobo

What the hell? Following Rose as she heads towards the bathroom, I stand behind her while she begins to vomit into the bowel. This girl sure seemed to be sick now. What the hell could have... no... it couldn't be that. Although it had been awhile now and we reproduce faster then them.

Shit! I needed to get her to someone that could help soon. I grab some spare cloths and toss them to her, "Put this on. We need to get you out of here soon." She puts on the cloths as she trys to keep up with me through the ship.

We make our way to my hog as she asks what we're doing. "I need to get you to a doctor. And the nearest planet that has that kind of know how is back on earth."

We jump back onto the hog as I switch on the bubble thing to keep her from dying in space. Once everything is ready, she rests her head against my chest as we leave the ship in a hurry. Flying out into space, I head straight back towards her home planet: Earth.

Open!

Ok, all!

The Lobo thread is offically open! Like a regular thread, come in, post a brief character description, and get approved, unless you've already talked to Ren or me...

Have fun!

I have talked to Rose, but I just want this to be all official and stuff. I would like to play the part of (hold your breath, this is a new one) Superman, if you will have me, that is.
You all know what Superman looks like, the tall guy with hair, and he had a big S on his chest. ]
Clark Kent... otherwise known as Superman.
(music playing in background, american flag comes up)

Always have to spring for those cheesy background effects, a good entrance is nothing without them.

OOC: Great to have you with us Pooh. Hope you have more fun as Superman in this thread then you did in JLA. :)

Ok, I noticed that for some people that haven't been following the thread it would be hard to jump in after three pages. So if anyone who is interested in joining has any questions or would like a summery, send me an email and I'll try to help out. It should be pretty basic so far on what's happened. :)

Lobo

OOC: People can still jump in. Just going to get the story moving again. :)

IC: Entering the earths atmosphere, I take the two of us straight back to Metropolis(sp?). Thought that would be the best place for her to get help since that's where I found her. As we search for a hospital, my mind kept hoping that this wasn't what I feared it to be. Going on instincts, I finaly find a hospital in the middle of this huge city. Taking us down, I watch as the doctors and patients ran for there lives. Never knew a man with two broken legs could run that fast on his hands. Guess you learn something new every day around here.

Picking Rose up into my arms, I carry her into the large building. As the people scatter around us in fear and surprise, I head straight towards the registration. Keeping her in my arms, I tell them "Where the hell's a fraging doctor when you need one?! This girl needs help, and she needs it now!"

The young man behind the counter slowly came out of hiding from under the desk. His shaky hands reach into the desk to pull out some papers. He slips them through the small slot with a pen as he tells mein a stutter, "Y-Y-You'll... n-need to... to fill out these... forms first. And.. I'll n-n-need to s-see some ID aswell. Please?"

Pulling out a small gun from my back pocket, I aim it at the man as I break the glass plating. Pointing it right at his skull, I smirk as I ask him "Is this good enough for my ID? Or would you rather I fill it out in your skull?" The man faints onto the floor at the sight of this. Sometimes I wondered how these humans lasted so long...

Rose

Rose snuggled against Lobo, her eyes closed. She almost laughed when Lobo tried to get a doctor. Looking up she smiled weakly at Lobo. She felt nausious, but the fact that Lobo was worried...

She winced as her stomach knotted again.

Lobo

Noticing that she was in wincing from the pain, I leave the young man to sleep it off. That guy was going to need a new change in underware when he got home. Forgeting about him, I move towards the emergency ward in search of a doctor.

"Hey you," I yell to one doctor that runs off as soon as he sees me coming at him. This was repeated on several others with the same results. I was going to get nowhere at this rate.

Taking Rose into a room, I lay her on the bed to let her rest for the moment. Making sure she was ok, I grab a small cloth to cover her partialy for now. "Stay here for now," I tell her as I prepare to leave, "I'm going to find someone around here to look at you right now."

Before she could say anything, I turn and head out of the room in search of a doctor. Most of them had taken off by now so it was going to be hard. But I should be able to find a couple out there if I look in the right places. They couldn't all be gone by now...

Superman touched down right nest to the building they had fought at earlier. He stood there, looking into the sky. There was no sign of the pale man, his hostage, or his bike. A slight anger ran up to his cheeks.
He flew off, looking for any sign of the renegade (lol). The man had to be here somewhere. He flew over Metropolis at a great speed. His superspeed was always one of his good points, but he had no time to dwell on his powers now, he had to find the girl, and help get her away from that mad man.
Superman flew to all corners of the city, but to no avail. It was just too big of a city to search for two small people, even if one was barely human.
He landed back on the Daily Planet building, and dressed back into the old suit and tie known as Clark Kent. Clark made his way to his desk.
"Clark, Lobo has been spotted at the Metropolois General Hospital. He has Lois's photographer as well."
Lois was already in the elevator going down, but Clark had a little faster way of getting there.
Superman landed on the front steps. He scanned the buidling, but couldn't distinguish either of them. He opened the door, right now he had the element of surprise, the last thing we wanted was for...
"SUPERMAN, THANK GOD IT'S YOU."
Superman sursed lightly, he looked at the shaking intern. She ran up to him, collapsing in his arms.
"They... They're.... They are in the emergency ward," She pointed northward. Superman thanks her, and walked in that direction.
Why were they in a hospital? All of the sudden Superman didn't like this. Something was wrong, he was going to have to be careful about this one. Lobo might have gone here specifically so they couldn't fight. He couldn't fight in a quiet zone, the residents needed their rest.

Lucinda Malone...

OOC: as per kindly requested by my favorite lady... ROSE THORN... I'm entering as a doctor... bare with me... this is gonna be a long shot for yours truly! [grins]

IC:

Dr Lucinda Malone walked back to the reception area just in time to see some lunatic aiming his gun at one of the nurses. She had just worked 10 hours straight and the Doc who was suppossed to take over for her was late. She was NOT in a good mood. She stood only 5'4" was petite... long silky dark hair and her asian appearance tended to make most people thing she was going to be a push over. This guy would soon learn different.

She stalked up to Lobo and grabbed his arm pulling him to face her. She was fired up. "What the FUCK do you think you're DOING?" She hollared up at him.

Lobo

Now where the hell did this crazy chick come from? Raising an eyebrow at this girl, I see the look in her eyes and know she's not messing around. She was either realy brave, or realy stupid. Which ever one was the correct answer, she appeared to mean business.

Keeping my eyes to hers, I tell her "All I wanted was for someone to look at my... friend.. to see if she was ok. Then when I get here, everyone goes chicken shit and runs for the hills."

Stoping for a moment, I realise that she's pretty good looking for someone so small. That's when I notice her tag on her top that reads "Dr. Lucinda Malone" on it. "You're a doctor?" I ask in surprise that I had actualy found one around here.

She simply nods as I tell her, "I need your help! Something is wrong with Rose, come quick!" Before she could say anything, I pick her up and carry her back to the room where I had left Rose.

Lucinda Malone...

... couldn't believe what was happening. Who the heck was this he-man? She struggled uselessly in the guys arms. Most women probably would have been terrified... she was just plain mad as hell.

"Who the hell do you think you are you idiot! Put me down this instant!" She growled in his ear. "No wonder everybody ran... you have the social skills of a fucking ape on adrenalin!" She slapped the side of his head with her free hand. She was infuriated to note that it had little effect.

Finally he put her down... she was ruffled and ill-disposed to listen to him blabber about his friend. Who if was anything like him probably not someone she cared to help. He finally frowned and turned her about so she faced a very green looking young woman on one of the hospital beds. Lucinda blinked in surprise. Her doctoring instincts taking over she quickly pulled out her stethoscope and held it to the woman's chest. Behind her the man hovered intently. God, men were all the same... useless in a real crisis. She turned impatiently and glared at him pointedly.

"Look buddy... you want to help the girl? You wait outside!" She pushed him towards the door. He protested but before he knew it he was facing a door and standing in the hallway.

Finally Lucinda was able to check the girl's pulse and other vitals. She asked her a few questions and got moans of yes and no in reply. Lucinda shook her head. "It's almost like you have altitude sickness but you told me you haven't flown? Could be something you ate I guess.. have you kept anything down since? You haven't tried?" She walked to a cabinet and pulled out a vial. "Look, I could give you antibiotics but I think this shot ought to pep you up... it's a mild medication given to persons for travel sickness." She wrote a few more things in her chart and then administered the injection. Rose yelped but in a few moments began to feel better. She smiled gratefully.

Finally Lucinda had the chart properly filled out. "Why didn't the nurse have this filled already?" She asked Rose, as she let the man outside in. To Lobo she said firmly, "listen buddy... in future... you follow the rules you get medical help... otherwise I'll call the police my god-damned self... got it? Now I'm going to lodge this info with reception... WHICH is what YOU should have done in the first place... she's fine, just mild stomach upset... she seems to be quite sensitive that way."

She paused and spoke intently making sure he listened. "Next time... remember... DON'T manhandle the Doctors... hmmm?" She grinned at the both of them before sauntering out. Moments later she finally found her fill-in and changed out of her whites into casual clothes. A short skirt, sneakers and a tight tank-top. She looked years younger with her hair down. She caught up with Lobo & Rose as they were about to leave the hospital.

"Hey guys... everything okay?" They blinked in surprise at her. She grinned realising they didn't recognise her. "Umm... Dr Lucinda Malone... I just treated you? You were my lucky last patient for the day..." She smiled, it totally transformed her features.

Lobo

Now this was a nice little surprise. The doc almost looked like a whole different person without that uniform. Her long, dark hair truly helped to complete the ravishing total package. My first reaction was to give her a wisecrack about her looks and how she got medical license. But then I remember how she helped Rose, so I decide to act like a gentleman. Just this once.

I give being nice a shot, "Hey babe, why you bother being a doctor when you got a body like that? You could make a killing at a stip club." Ok so I was no smooth talker. But atleast I didn't bring up how the cold air made her nipples show through her tank.

Just then, I look behind her when I thought I saw a glimpse of someone dressed like Supes walking inside the hospital. Didn't see him now though. Maybe I was more tired then I thought...

Superman crossed a corner, but then quickly shot back. There they were, Lobo was behind some woman, Rose no doubt. He stole another quick peek, it didn't look like the girl, but she dressed regularly, she had to be it. He would have to move fast.
Superman breathed in deeply, and then let it out. Superspeed came more naturally when he calmed himself. He flew over to the woman, grabbed her tightly, and came back to the corner.
"It's ok, I am here to help," he spoke, not looking at her. He was looking to see Lobo. He had an expression of total surprise on his face.
Superman flew back, now not afraid of hurting anyone. He landed with a deadly right. Lobo flew back, landing on the floor. He was gotten totally by surprise.
He stood up, smiling, actually smiling nonetheless. Superman was ready for anything, he took a step forward, meeting his stare.
"STOP!"
It was the girl. Superman looked, it wasn't Rose. It was another girl, how many did this man need? He did stop though, the last thing he needed was another person to get hurt.
As far as he knew, Rose was still somewhere, anywhere actually. He would hate to think something he did actually hurt an innocent life. Superman stopped.

Lucinda Malone...

couldn't believe it... she was just about to give the guy a piece of her mind about his chauvenistic comment regarding her looks compared to her job when again she was being manhandled. She felt herself being lifted and before she knew it put down again. This guy wasn't leaving her with a much better impression than the last... he said something about being there to help and then proceeded to punch the original guy.

"STOP!" She hollared. She took a good look at the new guy who seemed to be wearing of all things a tight blue body stocking of some kind. It sure did show off his muscles which as a doctor she could admire but this he-man showing off was beginning to really rile her.

He actually stopped as she had requested. She walked briskly between him and the guy on the ground who now stood with a grin on his face. "You two wanna-be-he-men better have a good explanation for all this. I will NOT... I repeat NOT have fighting outside my hospital!" She glared pointedly at them both as if to be sure they understood exactly what she was saying.

"Now... I've tried to be patient with YOU!" She looked at Lobo... "but when you start bringing your hooligan friends around that is IT! Now the both of you had better get your arses back to wherever it is you call home because I am NOT going to patch you up when you've finished breaking each other!"

She tapped her foot with her arms folded. 5'4" of sheer female firey anger and determination. If she had anything to say about it... this fight was over.

Lobo

Standing there with that silly grin across my face, I look back and forth from Supes and the Doc. The girl did have a point though. After all she did, we could atleast take this fight somewhere else to finish off. It was not like it would make much difference on where we would finish this whole battle or anything. That would be the nice thing to do after all that she's done. But the thing is, I wasn't a very nice guy.

Before anyone could notice, I curl up my hands into two tight fists and deliver a quick punch to the back of Supes head. Superman yelps out in surprise and pain as he goes head first into the concrete from the force of my blow. He trys to get up when I run over and deliver a swift kick to his side.

Throwing my arms in the air at this cheap victory, I yell out "When you mess with the best, you die like the rest!" Ok, not very original but atleast it was better then yelling 'I am what I am cause that's all that I am' or anything like that. What was a drinking that night when I said that? Just then, Supes stands up and looks at me with a stern gaze. That little cheap shot attack had hit a nerve on him. Now we were realy open for business...

Superman stood facing Lobo. His stern white face showed no sign of remorse. The wall he had plummeted head first into, however did. There was a huge shaking throughout the building.
Superman wanted to put a few nice dimples in that face of Lobo's, but he had other things to worry about. There were patients in this place. He quickly flew up, and hung onto the crossbar set in place. There was nothing around to substitute a fifteen foot steel pole, so Superman had to hold it himself.
He looked at the doctor with a littel haste, "Evacuate the hospital NOW!"
Turning to Lobo, he wondered if the guy could actually have been so stupid to start a fight in a hospital. He shook it from his head. Although, visions of him foever trapped holding this building did bring a smile to his face.
"You can keep fighting me if you want, but this place is going to collapse, and the only two people left alive will be you and me."
He turned his back to Lobo, and concentrated. The foundation had shifted, and it took just about everything he had to keep this thing from falling over. A groan escaped from the beams surrounding the one he was holding. He could see them all lean dangerously.
Closing his eyes, he pushed with all his strength. There was a tremendous cracking sound as plywood and 2 by 4s cut. The building rose several feet into the air.
Superman just realized he was holding onto a forty flour buidling at the bottom. He looked down, being several feet up in the air. The sweat poured from his every pour. Plaster fell down, covering him in a white film. He flew across to the flat groud of the street, and set it down carefully.
He let go, seeing the finger marks in the cold steel. He sighed, anticipating it to fall over any minute. It would hold, for a while at least, but the people needed to get out of here, as soon as they could.

Lucinda Malone...

looked on in stunned disbelief. The man in blue body stocking had lifted the hospital off it's foundations and put it down again. She shook her head.

OOC: Okay... put it this way. This chick has spent her whole life studying to become a doctor and to learn martial arts of some monk's in Tibet... so she's actually one of the FEW mortals who have no idea who Superman or Lobo or any Super Hero is. She's heard... but has thought them all silly folk lore... until now obviously. [grins].

IC:

Quickly realising the trouble... she ran into the building and grabbed an intercom, quickly punching in her ID code to get access to all floors.

"This is Dr Malone... this is an emergency evacuation! I repeat... EMERGENCY EVACUATION! All staff please ensure imobile patient's are removed. I repeat again EMERGENCY EVAC!"

Immediately there was the sound of commotion as the people started to pour out of the building. She only hoped that they would all get out in time. She ran up to the intensive care unit to make sure those patient's were being looked out for.

Rose

Rose stood from her new position on the floor and ran for Lobo. Grabbing Lobo's hand, she jerked him through a doorway, sure she wouldn't have pulled it off if he hadn't been willing to go.

"Ok, let's go..." Rose muttered. Lobo sat on his bike and she got on behind him. A few directions later they were at her house. A nice place, but she didn't see it much thanks to Lane...

"Land there in the garage..."

OOC: Sorry it took a bit to post. Ok, I figure Dr. can find us (Rose and she talked during exam? Address given..>) And S. is...S...
Hope this is ok...If not, mail me...

[Edited by RoseThorn on 12-27-2000 at 12:52 AM]

Lobo

We pull the hog down towards the land as we head straight towards the garage. It was already left open, so we just had to fly it right into the open space. Taking us down, I land the hog safely inside of the garage with little trouble. Although the garage door was closed so I had to blast it open. But other then that, things were going great so far. Helping Rose off the bike, I cover the hog to keep it from being discovered.

Helping lead her into the house, I tell her "Let's get you inside. The doc did say you needed to get some rest right" Rose nodded slightly as another cramp hit her. She held her stomach in slight pain as we entered her home. The thought had entered my head on how Supes could be pissed that I ditched him back there. Looked to me like this was far from being over anytime soon...

Rose

I led us to my room with a sigh and a wince. I lay my head against Lobo and tug him toward my giant bed. I liked my bed big. When I was a kid I'd had a problem with falling off mine....

Without thinking I pull off my borrowed clothes and snag a tee with "Give me the coffee and I don't shoot..."

I yawn and lay daown, looking back at Lobo expectantly.

Ooc: S is S? What is that supposed to mean...

Superman flew up the stairs as fast as he could, looking for any signs of life. People were using the stairs, and leaving in a hurry. There was no bottom door, but he had made short work of that.
The top floor held at least a hudnred kids, all too sick to walk. He looked at them, a tear suddenly coming to his eye. He violently grabbed a door, and through it threw a wall. That asshole deserted all these innocent people, oh he was going to pay. He really was.
The foundation shifted sharply to the right. Superman grabbed onto one of the sturdier walls, but couldn't stop it. It fell before crashing into another building. He was grateful that it fell towards the closest building, any other direction and it would have been toast.
Standing at a slight angle, Superman walked into the room. All of these kids were awake now, some crying, but most too weak to even do that. A tear fell down his cheek.
Superman looked through the floor, four solid steel pillar were on each side. If he used his laser visions to cut them all off, he could easily carry all the children to safety. Crashing through the floor, Superman went straight to work. The children were all nestled int their hospital beds, visions of safety danced in their heads.
Then all of the sudden, there came a great shout,
he had cut through the pillars, they were making it out.
Superman flew up, grabbing a ladder,
the children sprang from their beds to see what was the matter.
Up he flew, with the buidling above,
and landed softly, like the dow of a dove.
And Superman exclaimed as he flew out of sight.
"I hope your ok, I'll be back tonight."
Superman shook his head, he was thinking in rhyme again, damnit. He flew back down, looking at all the children. They were ok.
The doctor came out of the "door" pushing two gentlemen in a stretcher.
"Is everyone out?"
She nodded.
There was a sudden crack as the entire buidling slid to the side. Superman flew up, grabbing the top, well the new top anyway. He knew he couldn't do anything to help it now, it was too far gone, but he eased it down. There was only a soft crash as it met the pavement.
Swat poured from his head, blood cursed through his veins. He hadn't had this much of a workout in a while.
Feeling a little confidence in himself, Superman smiled at the sun. The bright day filled him with hope. Saving the day, after all, was what Superman did the best.
He landed next to the rather large group of patients. None of them looked good, but all were alive. He was grateful of that.

Introducing X

After Supes finished making sure the hospital would not collapse, I finally fell out of the shadows laughing.  As he looked at me like I was some sort of idiot.  I pulled myself off of the floor still laughing but saying " Ha Earth's mightiest hero beaten by a man riding a oversized scooter. Haha Man of Steel my ass.  What's wrong Supes.  Your spandex too tight heheh. You have got to be the lamest hero since Guy "I found my ring in a box of Captain Crunch" Gardner. Ah you must be so proud to be a card carrying member of the Media Whoring Underpants on the Outside Club. A haha."

After recovering from making fun of the Last Boyscout I looked over at the good doctor and said " Hey Superspandex at least you have the sense to keep yourself in good company. After all how better to tell the people that you do not suck than by standing next to a gorgeous woman."

OCC: I know this is short but I am kinda new to the story. X is a basically a hitman sort of like Deadpool. You know a Merc with a mouth

Lobo

OOC: S is S means Superman is Superman. Not 100% on what she meant by that. *shrugs*

IC: "Nice shirt," I tell her as she changes herself into something more comftable. Watching on as she got dressed for bed right before my eyes, I can't help but think of how beautiful she was. Rose had a very nice body, but also had a 'down to earth' type look to her. My eyes stay glued to her as she moved over towards her rather large bed. The thing was just about the same size as the one I had back on the ship.

A grin spreads across my face as I'm suddenly hit with memorys of what we had done back on that ship. Oh if only we had stayed on that ship. All the things we could have done in the time that we had waisted at that damn hospital.

Moving closer to her as she stretched out, I sit down on the bed beside Rose as she tried to get some rest. Gently running my fingers through her hair, I ask in a rather calm voice "Do you need anything important before I go sleep on the couch? Anything at all that you want?"

Rose's eyes meet mine as I rest my hand against her smooth cheek. Why was I feeling like this about this woman? What was it about her that made me treat her as nicely as I had done for the day? But she was a wonderful girl to be around, that much was for sure.

Lucinda Malone...

suddenly felt she had was living a full on nightmare. Where were all these chauvanistic he-men coming from? She shook her head and looked up at the new comer who was making all the smart mouthed comments. She assumed this kind of talk was suppossed to be some kind of compliment to her, so she let it pass for now.

She turned to the man in blue and frowned. "Listen... thanks for helping with the kids... but don't think that lets you off the hook. As far as I'm concerned YOU started all this and now the good citizens here don't have a place to receive proper medical care." She noted the stray tear mark from Superman's heartstrings being pulled earlier and rolled her eyes.

"Of all the god damned STUPID... you'd THINK you so called super heros with all your might would have the common sense not to fight around breakable objects!" She was beyond mad now. Not realising she was reiterating an earlier conversation about breaking buildings.

She'd just pulled a double shift, was tired and now her place of employement was mere rubble on the ground and she had to find alternative beds for several hundred patients in an already over worked hosptial system. By rights, the looks she was throwing around should have killed both the men standing before her.

She tossed her silky mane of dark hair over her shoulder and crosssed her arms eyeing them both. "Well... you'd better have some kind of explanation!" She tapped her foot impatiently.

OCC: Okey Dokey Rose Baby! I'll find ya honey! [ggls]
