Login isn't holding

Yes, every time I come back to the Literotica forum, I have to log back in again, despite ticking the 'remember me' box. It's only been happening the last few days and doesn't seem to be affecting my control panel in the main section.

Not sure why, but 'lately' (last couple of weeks) my logins are holding. I can leave the Forum site open for several hours now. I am using Google Chrome Incognito, Version 85.0.4183.83 (Official Build) (64-bit). My device is a Windows 10 desktop. I am wondering if the latest versions of Chrome solve the problem. I enter the site by typing Literotica Forum in Google Incognito browser and accessing the Forum directly, being sure to check that Remember Me box. I did have the login problem a few weeks ago; not sure what has cleared the problem.
 
as previously mentioned, the site can be accessed via http and https - logging in via one will not hold if accessing the website via the other later.

all this could be solved by having the website automatically switching to https with a little bit of code in the .htaccess file

but don't count on that happening anytime soon
 
In a twent minute session I've had to log in four times. This is getting so tedious that I may well forget all about the BBS in future.

As soon as I get to the forum I add https:// in front of forum.literotica.com and it holds for six hours or so. Try that, maybe?
 
Hmmm... I've been logged in for almost six months. Of course, I login on the author's side of the site. I haven't used the BB side login for I don't know how long.

I have a browser that does that automatically, Brave, except there are certain sections of the forums that haven't been brought up to HTTPS yet.

When this "won't hold" started, logging in on the author's side stopped also logging in on the BB side for me.
 
I'm on HTTP and haven't had to log in except when I got my new phone a few months ago. Ever since on Win 10 & Android I go right in on chrome and chrome for android.

Been going on with me for months. I dont get it.
 
Glad I am not the only one having to deal with the frequent log-ins.
Maybe it's a security feature? Maybe due to Windows upgrade?
Wish they might have warned us though. Getting frustrated when it's unexpected.

I use a laptop with chrome in incognito mode, and windows 10 pro. I have tried with, and without, checking the "Remember me" box as I'm in the discussion side. The results are identical in that I seem to always need to sign in again before I can send PM's, and/or, add a comment to a post. I'm new to this site, so thought it was just me.
 
Checking the "remember me" box doesn't do anything for me, either. It looks like nothing's going to be done about this. A minor irritation, but an irritation nonetheless.
 
To add another data point, I don't have any problem.

I log in to the members control panel, then point the browser to "https://forum.literotica.com." I'm logged in when I get here, and I stay logged in.

I use Firefox on Ubuntu.
 
I log on to the story side via the story page and, for a decade and a half, when I clicked on the forum, there it was, already logged in. Now that route, with either IE or Firefox, doesn't log me on on the bulletin board side and the login on the forum doesn't hold very long before I have to log in again. This is "progress" that isn't user friendly--with pointing to the problem seeming to just be ignored, with no explanation why it had to happen. Anything I've tried concerning changing anything to HTTPS doesn't do anything for me--and wouldn't be an improvement in the use of the Web site anyway.
 
I'm using Safari 14.0

I'm getting booted out every half hour or so. Never happened before last night.
 
Just started having this problem, after 18 years. Using Chrome in Windows 10.Started after I had to clear my cache to clear a glitch on another site. .
 
Is this problem even being looked at? I basically have to login now every time I come to the Literotica forum, despite ticking the box that says 'remember me'. This has been going on for months and nothing seems to be happening to make it better.

Try adding https:// before the forum page address (assuming you have logged in and are coming into the forums from your CP). I find it generally holds for at least six hours - do that instead of Remember Me.
