But in reality, her parents were flying away to get a vacation, and didn't trust her to be home alone, worrying that she would trash the place, so they called in her older brother to "babysit" her. As if. She was eighteen, as of two months ago, she didn't need a babysitter. Besides, it had been a few years since she had even seen her own brother. When he came around for summer break, she had been on an internship in Paris the last two years, and on holidays, he usually didn't come home.

She slowly and grudgingly pulled herself out of the bed, wrapping a silk robe around her frame, tying it at the waist as she wiped at the smudged makeup under her eyes and ran a brush through her hair before tying it back in a messy bun. She placed her contacts in and headed downstairs to say her goodbyes to her parents. They would be gone for two weeks, then come home and spend a week with her and Matt before he left back for college. She rolled her eyes, she couldn't wait to be out of here and in college!

After breakfast and watching them leave, she headed upstairs to get a shower. Once she was done with her shower, she straightened her hair, put her contacts in, applied some makeup(mostly eyeliner and mascara), and then she put on her bra and boyshorts before pulling on a short pink skirt and a black tank top. She smiled at her image in the mirror. For once in her life, she was actually proud of her image.

A few years ago, Alex hated herself. She wasn't big, but she was slightly chubby. She wore thick glasses due to her bad eye sight, she always wore loose clothes, hiding her body, her hair always up in a messy ponytail, she never wore makeup, and she was considered the nerdy fat kid. She never got any attention, her brother was ashamed to be around her, and she was just a loner. She sighed at the thought and let out a breath, making herself be tough. She had changed, made herself proud to be who she was. She lost all the weight, now her stomach was flat and toned, she got her hair done in the salon and still regularly did, she got contacts, started wearing makeup, started wearing revealing clothes, and started hooking up with guys. Alex thought she heard movement downstairs, so she slid on a pair of black flip flops and headed downstairs, her phone in hand.

"Hello?" She called. "Is someone there?" She looked around nervously, reaching the bottom of the stairs.

He stepped out of the car and grabbed his bags. The door was unlocked so he didn't bother knocking. Looking around downstairs for his sister he didn't find her. He looked out back by the pool, nothing.

While heading back towards the living room he heard footsteps on the stairs. Then heard a voice call out. "Alex? Is that you? It's Matt I just got here" He shouted back rounding the corner and looking up the stairs. He saw Alex walking down the stairs. A whole lot different then what he remembered her looking like. She lost the fat she had last time he saw her and the glasses as well. She developed into a beautiful young woman.

Alex's heart started to beat normally as she let out a deep breath of relief, a small chuckle leaving her lips as she realized that it was her brother, Matt. He was home. She didn't have to worry about someone coming in and robbing her. She loosened her grip on the staircase and then when he rounded the corner, she saw his eyes trailing her body, looking at her strange. She heard his words and arched a brow before walking past him and pulling herself up onto the counter, her skirt rising a little.

"Yeah, what's it to you?" She asked sarcastically, her eyes on her phone.

She looked up at him and bit her lip. He was as handsome as usual. Broad shoulders, muscly build, tall, dark hair, and light eyes. He hadn't changed much, but she knew that she looked like a completely different person. She crossed one leg over the other and ran a hand through her hair.

"It's been a long time, huh Matty?" She smiled softly, the hard look loosing it's touch as she kind of did miss him, even though they had never been close.

"Yes it has been a long time." Matt said as he grabbed a drink from the fridge and then sat down at the table looking at Alex as he drank it. "You look a lot different then the last time I saw you. You'll have to get to know the real me now, or the me at all, since we never really were acquainted." She flashed a smile at him before thinking about his next question.

"This is the best I've been actually. How about you big bro? Glad you're out of school?"

"Well I guess we are gonna be spending time together then to get to know one another." He drank the rest of his drink as he thought about Alex's question. "Well it's nice to get away from all the stressful school work" Matt said with a small laugh. "You know as well as I do, that this town is one of the most boring on the planet Earth." She rolled her eyes. "We have it lucky though. In ground pool and jacuzzi outside, arcade room downstairs, over 350 DVD's in dad's collection. Thinking about it now, a nice relaxing time in the hot tub sounds nice. Want to join me?"

Matt listened as Alex talked and it hit him that they were going to be spending a lot of time around the house. "Uhm I did, but things didn't work out. We went for about 9 months before I broke it off. Ever since, I've been furthering my experiences if you know what I mean." I grin at the words. "How about you Matt?"
