looking to chat

See, I did all of that..... and even though we were engaged to be married. Her lust to get back at her ex husband killed it all. 2 months before the wedding, she decides to teach the new wife a lesson, by sleeping with him. Didn't care she was engaged to me. And when I found out, all she could say, don't you believe in sharing. I walked. Oh she decided to stalk me for the next 15 years. Had married someone else, still stalked me, and was still sleeping with her ex husband. What are good men suppose to learn from that lesson.....

The link led me to a dog riding a skateboard down stairs, is that correct?
Correct.
Did the video make you smile?

Though I'm not a dog, I definitely can ride a skateboard down stairs.....even at my age.😁
Really? 😅
Even so, how many others can make the same claim?
And how many other dogs can do it too?

The little fella makes mean right turns too, upon landing, to avoid cars or humans. 😅

Yes, it definitely made me smile, so thank you.

I just know that none of my past dogs couldn't ride a skateboard, let alone one down stairs. I have a cat that I believe would give it a try though.😁

One of my favorite quotes....Every day is a new day to be someone new, so who do you wish to be today
I've always tried to be the person that listens, and helps out. Beacon of hope if you will. Never the alibi. I will not 🤥

It's been nearly a month since I posted this, how time flies!

So I read an article that talks about a "psychological trick" - here's an extract:

One question.

“What went well this week?”

Your brain has something called the Reticular Activating System.

It highlights what it believes is important.

And what tells your brain what’s important?

The questions you repeatedly ask yourself.

Ask:

“What’s wrong with my life?”

Your brain becomes a problem-detecting machine.

It will find stress.
Threats.
Failure.
Reasons to feel stuck.

And when your brain is constantly scanning for problems…

Your nervous system stays on alert.

More tension.
More stress.
More fatigue.

But ask:

“What went well?”

Your brain starts scanning for something different.

Progress.
Support.
Opportunity.
Small wins.

Your nervous system relaxes.

Sleep improves.
Recovery improves.
Energy improves.

Not because life suddenly became easy.

But because your brain stopped assuming everything was a threat.

So try to ask yourself "What went well?"
Eg:
“I had a good conversation.”
"I went outside."

Tiny things.

Your brain keeps score.

And over time something interesting happens.

You stop scanning life for everything that’s broken.

And start noticing everything that’s still working.

Your brain is always searching for evidence.

The question you ask determines what it finds.

So...

What went well for you this week? 🌿

I grew up and passed those games a long time ago. Are you still living in the past week?
Oh well. Sabai, sabai.

One of my favorite quotes....Every day is a new day to be someone new, so who do you wish to be today
Every day is a new opportunity to be your true self. Stop trying to reinvent yourself as something different. It will bring only suffering.

Better still, be the light
Clearly, you did NOT understand the phrase.

I should be so lucky. I haven't yet encountered anyone here who seems to even want to talk to me. Maybe you're all just shy
🤣
Literotica has existed for a long time with many of the regulars being here for years.
You, on the other hand, at least by this account of yours, are still considered a newbie.
Yet, your few posts here in my forum are antagonistic right off the bat.

So let me be clear:
We/lit aren't shy, we're just not interested in numptys aka...dipshits and rude troublemakers.

Feel free to post elsewhere.
You've been ignored from this forum.

Trust me when I say I am being kind with this - Have the day you deserve.

I try to be me lol. Each day is a new day to learn more. Even if I run across difficult people I try to learn from it. Sometimes we can learn a lot from people with different views.

One of the biggest eye open views for me was when I traveled outside the states. I was having an amazing discussion with a Jamaican lady and she asked me why I am worried about the weather and day. I realized she was right, I would worry about things I can not control and needed to just enjoy the moment. It was not till then that I realized what a stressful life I lived to that point.

Nah, you've got nothing to learn from ignorant rude dipshits.
For example: If he/they had any brains, he would keep his mouth shut if he has nothing nice to say.

Btw, with reference to your original post here a few days ago, did you chat with @Emperical - both of you grow lots of your own food, he still does.

Enjoy lit!

I have a question for the OP, and if they don't like my question I'll delete it, I promise. Anyway

I was thinking of starting my own thread but every time I go to one of these, it seems there's always people derailing it or posting things outside of the OPs intention, is it just me? I see a ton of rude comments (not just here but in other threads just like it); the comments get mean, rude, sarcastic; the jokes are personal and mean spirited.

I feel like if I had my own thread it would kinda be like my house, if that makes sense, I mean you create it, you set the tone, you set what it's about- I wouldn't want to be the one eff that up, seems rude and in my opinion, says a lot about the people who do that. So short question after a long rant😂, is it worth it to have your own thread?

@asian2015 sorry for the long rant🙂, let me know, I'll delete if you want me to

Thread-killing and thread hi-jacking are not uncommon on Lit. It's usually best to ignore them, and try to outlast them; they're mostly looking for attention and will give up after they see it has no effect. Definitely don't engage with them; that's what they're looking for. One does need a thick skin on a public forum.
